The following is for a little giant monster game I was tinkering with.

There is a mix of Godzilla and Ultraman monsters in the shots. The military units are from Mech Warrior and mounted onto GW large bases.

The last shot has my hand in the photo so one can see the scale.

I still need to add some doors, signs and such, to break things up a bit. Plus run a felt marker around the set

What's the scale?

Where did the tops to the buildings come from - the pyramids?

Did you keep all buildings as sepreate units or build them as one-block units?

Would you ever thing of leaving a half inch around each building?

This is your gaming engine or a store bought (if store bought please link)

I'm not really sure, I sized and printed things until I got what I liked... I can measure some of the buildings and post those for you, if that will help?



The tops are here and I created the gargoyles around the edges of the pyramid tops.



Each building is meant to be lifted away, to represent it being destroyed.



There is a little bit of an alley way, but for my purposes I didn't need more space.



The game mechanics are in constant state of flux, but they are my own. Lately I've been toying with the idea of using Savage Worlds (with some modifications).

Those buildings look fantastic!

I love Kaiju, and would be all over something like this.

On a related note, I play Dark Realm (6mm), and CAV (N scale, 10mm~ish).

I've had a horrible time finding quality, inexpensive, sci-fi or modern buildings, something like this in those scales would be the buisness!

Hmmm, with Privateer coming out with the Monsterpocalypse collectible miniatures game it might be worthwhile to create a kitbash for this.

Yeah... I had a 1/2 a dozen friends contact me when that press release came out asking if the took my idea, something that I have been tinkering with for years now

I just thought of it as parallel development - but then I am old enough to remember such games as 'Crush Crumble, and Chomp', 'The Creature that Ate Sheboygan', 'Monsters, Monsters, Monsters', 'Slime Monster' (with real SlimeTM !) and 'Rampage'. There are enough folks who enjoy rubber suit monsters destroying cities that it can pop up many places at once (take Cloverfield as an example).

For sure I was saying I 'invented' the genre, buy what they are coming out with is very similar so far... and I know they didn't take the idea, it's just funny that it hits so close to home.

Trust me, it happens. (Been there, done that, watched someone else sell the Tee shirt....)

It seems I am not the only with the same thoughts that we have through up some decent at the same time a little before they rolled them out for production. My problem is I don't have a financial backer or a name in the business.

I was coming up with a gaming system for the 2 inch high Pokemon creatures. As you know you can buy them but that was about it, so I was working out a D6 or D10 system and etc and then they come out with the equal of "clixs" for pokemon.

I am sure though they had started long before me on trying to come up with a "table top" gaming system for Pokemon.

Trust me, even if you do have a "name" getting support, backing or strategic partnerships going is still extremely difficult. Typically backers with this kind of publishing weight are usually "booked up" with their own projects. Getting someone excited about your idea or concept takes a pretty special product and a tongue of gold. I think that's also why people with good smoozing skills tend to get the right contacts moving (even if their products generally suck).

I guess I'm not a good smoozer It's a good thing we have our own small but meaningful outlet here.
