I've had numerous requests (especially from this forum. Yes, Munce, I'm talking about you ) to show more detailed photos of my buildings, especially the interiors. Good to see the interiors fleshed out and you have made me think twice about using foam-core now. Must have a look at having a go with mounting card for the walls.

...........now, about the multi-storey office you built..... (hint, hint) looking forward to that one too.

Happy to oblige, Muncey! Honestly, mounting card is the way to go. I wholeheartedly recommend it. As I mentioned in my blog, the problem with using foamboard for walls is the floor space you lose. If you're not going to bother with interiors then foamboard would be a good choice. If I was building a castle, for example, where you'd expect to find thick walls then I'd use foamboard as well. But for modern buildings I find mounting board is more than adequate.

Ah, the four-storey office block! I hadn't planned on reviewing it until much later but I guess I'll bump it up the schedule, seeing as you've asked so nicely. My next review will be of the Mayhem Garage and you'll get to see how I tackled the garage door kitbash. After that I planned on reviewing my semi-detached houses. They attracted a lot of comments and I'm sure they'll prove to be popular with the WWG crowd. I've already got the photos done for the garage and the semi-detached houses after spending a few hours last weekend photographing quite a few of my buildings. Sadly, I haven't photographed the office block but I promise to shoot it next.

Was curious what thickness of Mounting Board did you use.
I was checking out Dickblick.com and they have them in .05" and .095" and was curious which ones you used to get a proper balance of strength and thickness.
Also would you recommend this approach for larger buildings (like the warehouse)?

To be honest, I didn't know that mounting board came in different thicknesses but the type I use is roughly 1mm thick, or 1/16 of an inch. I'd err on the thicker the better. I use mounting board for
all my builds. I would definitely recommend it for large builds, especially the warehouse. If you want to see my warehouse model check out my battle report for St. Trinian's and the Living Dead on my blog-site (address in my signature below) or on the WWG Gallery.
There are a number of advantages for using mounting board on large buildings. Strength and durability, of course, but also, there is virtually no chance of walls warping. I was tempted to say no chance of warping but someone will probably prove me wrong! All I can say is that warping has never been a problem for me.
