Here's a few shots of my lastest MDRG game. It lasted 9 rounds, but some rounds did not have much happening so I skipped some of those pics

Round 1 -- Start of game


Round 2 -- just maneuvering. Humans are very fast when compared to the Wretched.


Round 3 -- Humans getting ready to kill some Wretch . . .


Round 5 -- . . . however, the Wretch surprise the Humans with a frag grenade and a good shot with a needler--which not only downs the Flamer that was flanking on the right but also poisons him (Transfixed).


Round 6 -- Not much happened here.


Round 8 -- Wretch champion gets a gruesome kill, tho the Humans moral stays firm.


Round 9 -- Human leader gets hit with a frag grenade and is downed. Wretch rushes in a finishes him off. Humans get ready to flee.


All in all, a good game. There were a couple of moments that each sides' momentium started up and then was lost with a single die roll. Twice, I thought that the Humans were going to win, but that changed with the grenade the Wretched threw and a couple of misfires/out of ammo rolls the Humans suffered. I found it interesting that almost all of the game was contained in the junk yard, but then the Wretch are very slow moving and never seem to have more that two actions a turn--compared to the Humans who almost always get three actions, especially when their Leader is within Long distance.

Looks like a fun game. I do like seeing action shots of games; thx for posting them. Nice work on the Mayhem builds.

Is this a single player game?

It's not meant to be a single player game, but a 1v1. However, the mechanics are simple enough that a person could play it solo and not have too much to keep up with. You can also play it with more than two players--tho I haven't tried that yet.

I think an easy way to play a game like this solo is to define an objective or specific style of play for the "other side." This would allow you to not have to "think so much" about their tactics, and allows you to focus on "your" side. For example, if you were to play an Attack and Defend style of game and "other side" was defending, then you would probably have them stay in a particular part of the battlefield once they reached the location. They would attack once your side got into range, but would not chase your models if you retreated.
