Here it is, built in seven days and played last night 5 hours and we aren't done yet. This one will stay out for a few weeks I think.

LOVE the Hero Quest miniatures! I've still got mine in the attic. Not the one I had when I was a kid, but the one my cousin found for me by chance.
Imagine, the late 90s, more than 5 years after that game was oop and you get a call from your cousin, who's on vacation in a backwater part of the country, saying: "Guess what I found in a grab-it box in this wee little toy store here. Yes, mint condition."

I've been looking for HeroQuest. I found one online for £72!! It's mightly expensive with the cheapest going for around £40.

Worse than that, the expansions might as well be carved out of solid gold the money some of them get.

I have four sets of hero quest. We play using a self modified engine of the original.

No time for painting.. healing from paper cuts...lol.

Great build!

Yeah heroquest is still my preferred way to game. When I started building WW I bought a bunch of D&D minis so I didn't have to paint. We were working on converting them to a heroquest standard, but only ever played like 1 game.

I found D&D via a boxed set of HeroQuest that was missing some pieces. We found it at a local thrift store as kids. I still have the old stuff somewhere.

I'd be interested in seeing that game engine as my group love(s) it some Heroquest!

Currently we're working on taking some of the ideas of Heroquest/Advanced Heroquest/Warhammer Quest with DDM into a super-rules light D&D 4E Hybrid that we can play at a moment's notice without interferring with our monthly D&D Game.

So far it's worked out well.
