Fantastic! Looks harder then it appears. This set was my first set for TerrainLinx and I am very pleased with how easy it is to make what I need, weather playing a game of 40k and just needing a few buildings to fight around, too building something more complex for D&D or Pathfinder. Saves a lot of room compered to the classic sets. Love the roofing, lots of options.

This is one of my go-to sets. It works perfectly in large city, small village or tiny wooded settings. It can be a daunting set to build if you (like me) attempt a "one of everything" build up front. There's just a LOT of pieces to this set - several styles of exterior walls, variations with interior walls, special connectors for multi-level building, and the genius roofing system... It's a lot to tackle all at once. I would strongly recommend starting small and building something functional first, then add on more and more as needed.

One of the great things about the TLX system is how well it scales. 3"x6" houses can fill in areas, with a 2'x2' multi-level building centerpiece for an encounter. It's easy to build up four or more stories once you have the pieces, and the builds are remarkably sturdy. I can't recommend Thoumont's enough.

Another excellent TLX kit. If Fantasy buildings are what you need, this set is for you! There are too many configuration options with this kit to list them all. I have built 10 to 12 different multi-level Thoumonts buildings so far for my game table and love the modularity. The textures are rich and lend a good fantasy atmosphere to the table. The pieces are easy to build and can be changed in and out on the fly as needed in a game.
One caution: it does take a good amount of time to initially construct the pieces needed for a 4 x 4 layout in the TLX system, but as building the models and terrain is half of the fun for me in this hobby, that is not a bad thing. Plus I have the satisfaction of having a full set of fully modular terrain to use whenever I need it, that also stores in a very small area. Once you have a base set of components built, the sky is truly the limit. All of the TLX sets are fully compatable with each other and I mix and match them quite often. Give the TLX system and Thoumonts a chance and you won't regret it.
