I have been playing X-wing since it came out, and well the same old 36x36 inch space combat with a few asteroids has gotten... old.

We have occasionally livened things up with Death Star Trench runs, scenarios and the Construction of the Death Star II is underway... but those are one off massive multi-hour events in many cases, much of the time we slog it out in the same 3x3 area with some asteroids as terrain.

With Galactic Conflict coming in just a week for SWToR (and doing beta testing for it) I got reminded of the hours of fun playing X-wing, TIE, X-wing vs TIE, X-wing Alliance, Rouge Squadron, Rouge Squadron II, and many of the other Consul based space fighting games. I loved the missions and varied terrain you got in a number of those missions. I wanted to liven up our play area.

One of the missions that stuck in my min from the Rouge Squadron series was Defection on Corellia where you fly and fight over/in Cornet city (and there are a number of in atmosphere battles as well). I am working on a scenario based off of that and plan to use Office block (now likely Corporate after the test game) for the base of the Terrain.

However I wanted to test out how the Swift Scenics looked and worked for the game. So yesterday we battled in the Industrial sector of Courscant.

I am going to go with Necro and Corporate to have access to the 3x3 as well as the 6x6 to give a breakup of look and to add base size (ie make a few bigger and smaller) and variety to the city scape.

Awesome! I recently got into X-Wing and I love the integration. I have thought of using some of the Wormhole terrain and props but this is great.

I made a few Scenarios one of them was a Borg Cube...in Card Stock

As for Courscant (as apposed to ST:AW) I looked through my files and will be making some more Corporate. I have a bunch of the Big buildings printed off, and ready but I never did the tower sections.

I will be printing them off to break up the look, by giving levels and adding a different foot print to a number of them. They also may work better in the smaller 3x3 maps. I will be working on that between eating stuff on Thursday
