For a few monthes now, I'm playing Shadows of Brimstone, an old west mine exploration game.
I felt that the game needed a better town...

That is a nice town for Brimestone.
is the church steeple custom?

Yes the church is all custom (not only steeple) : I slightly changed the color of the walls so that they appear whiter than the others (not really obvious, but they are)
The steeple is made of standard but whiter 3" walls, with a custom bell inside.

I love the way both the saloon and church are on the main street, but the general store is down a back alley. Bet there's a whole lot o' stories 'bout how that came to be

Yes, the bartender and the preacher are two brothers. Each one is trying to convert the other one.
The bartender waits for the end of the mass and ask his brother: "after all those sermons, you should be thirsty.. Do you want to come in and have a drink?". Whereas the preacher is used to wait outside the saloon and whenever a man is thrown outside because he is too drunk or was cheating on cards, the preacher would step in and beware all in the saloon about God's Wrath and ask them to repent...

In fact the general store is on the main street, as the blacksmith and the doc's office. On the back of the town you can find the frontier outpost...

Great looking build! I really need to do some work on a western town for my game.

As a random side note as some one who plays Brimstone, we failed our last mission (we almost had the portal closed needed 1 more sanity token on it, but were one step away from the darkenss escaping....) well we failed that last hold back the darkness check and it escaped... would you destroy your town and make a new one

The bell tower is made of standard 3inch walls were :
- I cut a triangle at the bottom to fit on the roof
- I added two flaps to insert in the roof (like chimneys)
- I cut the inner part of the upper wall to have it open
- I glued a similar upper wall inside, obviously because as it is now opened, I didn't want to see the interior blank
- I created a small bell taht is inserted on the top.
Note : I intend to submit it as a kitbash...

For destroyed building, I plan to create some swift scenics destroyed building from Streets Of Blood (see how its acronym is SoB ?), to replace buildings... so that my town would be created according to available buildings!

In our last mission, I didn't succeed in a single Hold Back The Darkness roll ! Obviously, we failed

Our mission though was a bummer for failure, no chance to go to town, we have to hit the next mission as not just a single building, or a single town was hit ALL TOWNS in the area were destroyed....

Really like the build, it's always nice to see a complete town rather than just one building.

It's really because of the game that I built a complete town, because I have no other use for a western town for now
