OK, these models are so gorgeous that I am running out on pay day and getting a nice Canon I320 to print me some dungeons!  (As a side note, PC World has it as their best buy. It is going for $49 at a local store and has a very low TCO, to boot--anyone have a better suggestion?  What do YOU guys recommend for inkjet printer?  On a budget, of course!)  Of course, I immediately bought dungeonworks and castleworks.

I am REALLY looking forward to expansions and additional sets.  But what has me the most excited is the 'plastic minis real cheap' idea!  I have long thought that  minis, at 3 or 4 bucks a shot, are ridiculously overpriced. Especially for DM's that are the suckers that are throwing an ever-new assortment of bad guys at the PC's. Here's hoping you can give us gamers something ELSE to look forward to (as if your great work so far isn't enough!)

You might have competition, technically. But as soon as I saw your models, I knew who I had to buy from!   AND, you market your product 10X better than 90% of gaming companies, with probably 1/10 of their budget.   I believe in awarding innovation, drive and talent.  Whether I use all sets or not, Im going to keep buying all of your stuff, because it is beautiful and a real value.  Amd, I'll spread the word! And I cannot wait for what you have in store for us!

On printers...Well, as everyone will tell you I'm a diehard Epson user. The models have all been optimized with the Epson printer driver set in mind. I've used Epson printers for years and they stand up very well to the relentless abuse I inflict on them. Some users have had margin issues with Canon printers, as the driver architecture is different from Epsons. Canon printers tend to cut their margins too deeply into frame, utilizing less useable page space. There is however a fix for this problem listed elsewhere on the forum but it’s not perfect. For my money I would suggest an Epson 777 or similar printer. Just my $0.02. Thanks again for the support  ;D

Sure, you could buy an Epson and be trouble free.

But not everyone wants it easy.

For those of you who love to fight their printer to work right,
I can recommend a Canon. I have faithfully stuck with
mine because of the awesome challenge it presents when
printing out paper models. Not one to take the easy route,
I love how it forces me to use awkward solutions to get it
to work right.

So the choice is yours: quick and easy or slow and painful.

Well, my one experience with an Epson (an old 1440--but new at the time) is bad.  It gave nice output, but the print heads clogged all the time; every new printing required clening the print heads, twice, before it would give decent output. And the printer just died on me one day.  No reason, just stopped working.  My previous printer ownership was an ancient b&w HP< which lasted me for years, and is STILL PRINTING at my brother's place (I gave it to him when I bought my fancy new Epson).

The Canon i320 sells for like $20, and it is a new machine, so I feel ok about the drivers.  And from reviews, it does pretty darn well.  And, my girlfriend used a Canon for about 4 years with nary a hiccup (til it died recently).  So I am gonna get the Canon.

For text printing I have a very nice and inexpensive laser, a Samsung 1430. Prints very quick, great output, and I got it 'open box'' for $110.  I just NEED that color for my new toys!

I personally love my Cannon printer (S400SP) after trying TONS of HP printer models of all ranges.

Yes, We do have that margin problem...

BUT the things I love about my printer...

- Flawless print outs (never streaking no matter how I take out and put in the ink cart).
- Cheap printouts! It became even cheaper when using clone inks (some Epson models have a security chip on thier carts to prevent refills). And you probably are going to pay for the cost of that chip!
- Can handle very hard paper. I've gone upto 170 GSM and I think it can handle more. (at that weight, it's too hard to fold already!)
- Unit is good value.
- If ever the head does go out. I can just purchase a new one  in the retail store and install it myself. Dont need to send it to the manufacturer. (modular head system).
- I get 3 printer types in 1. I can put the generic head for generic work (good enough for worldworks stuff). A all black head for text printing or a photo head.
- individual ink tank. Red ran out (happens more often). I just replace the head, unlike HP printers (and some epsons I think).

- minor bonus (maybe most modern printers have this), Power Saving. It turns itself off after a time (configurable). or always on setting is possbile. I can turn off the printer by software. :p
