Some remarks were made concerning a better use of pages and about scaling the models.
Here is my way of doing it. Take note that this requires the use of Adobe Photoshop or some such.
Photoshop can open a PDF file as a rasterized pict so  I start with a new empty A3 documet , (I use a Canon 4550 A3 printer and High Res. 230 gr/m paper), then I copy the parts of the PDF files that I want to the A3 document and place them there for optimum efficiency. Working with PhotoShop also allows me to swap windows and doors between buildings and even between the various WorldWork sets.

I'm trying to get my hands on a Canon printer so I can optimize the sets to Canon's "quirky" margin settings as well. Are you guys still having issues with the "newer" sets? (VillageWorks & CaveWorks). I did my best to set the models as far into the page margins as possible. I'm still mystified as to the reason Canon uses so little of the actual printed page.  Hopefully when it comes time to replace your printers you'll consider an Epson

Isn't it possible that the whole margin thing is a PDF problem?
I mean printing like I do, and yes I have both an Epson Photo Stylus EX (also A3) and the Canon 4550, there is no big margin problem. Actually I prefer the Canon because the ink is a lot cheaper and I can use it as an export plug in from within Photoshop.
I will have a look at Photoshop Elelments, it is a cheap graphic application, maybe, if it can open PDF files too, it might be a good and not too expensice alternative to using Acrobat Reader.

I haven't had anymore problems with my HP with the new sets.

Adobe Elements v2 can open pdf nicely. Althought v1 image gets fuzzy.


Printing your pure pdf with my cannon 600sp still gives me problems. It's a pdf thing. I had the same problem with my corel draw stuff.

In corel draw. It's perfect. Once I convert it to pdf. hell breaks loose. I've fixed the problem with my corel project.

WIth worldworks. I have to open the pdf. Crop away the white space. and print from photoshop. It comes out perfect this way.

for my pdf projects, I use the pdf writer insted of the distiller.

You can install the cannon print driver even if you dont have the printer (d/l from website).

What for? Using the print driver for print preview (driver knows the printer).

I did a test. In photoshop elemnts. I loaded up your pdf.
File->print preview.
clicking on the "scale to fit media". Now if the image becomes smaller. There is a border problem and it will be cropped. If it becomes bigger (as with my edited file). It will print w/o cropping

Oh, I was wrong. I'm using a cannon 400sp printer. I wonder why other cannons print perfectly with your pdf and other cannons crop (maybe they are scaling to fit?). Maybe lets make a list of printers that crop to solve the mystery.

I've edited the white space on your pdf  (with Elements) and printed it with acrobat.

It came out perfectly, without cropped image. Althought it wasnt "centered".
