There was talk before about GSD files for mounting templates being included in newer sets.

Did this happen? and if so, which sets are they in?

I have both the Streets and Sewers sets. Neither of which contain GSD files for the mount templates. There are 4 files in the "Sewers/GSD/Tiles" folder and 6 files in the "Streets/GSD/Tiles" folder

there are no GSD files for the mounts as they're supposed to be cut out of foamcore board. the Sillhouette Machine can't cut foamcore.

Just glue the sheets to your foamcore board and cut from there.

Glue the entire sheet to the foamcore and cut? That would be a waste of a lot of good foamcore.

I also trim extra white space off my mounting sheets, and only leave a small bit of "breathing room" between sheets. I don't like wasting foamcore, and I even grab the scraps and make the little connectors out of my foamcore scraps.

For better or for worse, I've been making six by six inch squares with an industrial grade matt cutter. It cuts through the foam board with precision at perfect 90 degree angles, and I can make about 30 squares in about four minutes or so. It's fast.

The discussion of 90 degree cuts vs. 80 degree cuts was had at a different thread, and the conclusion was that it would likely not be a problem, so long as the 90 degree cuts were perfect (no outward sweeping angles).

However, i have to cut out the slots for the tabs by hand, and it would be nice not to have to cut out the template by hand too. If I can Robo-cutter the mount template, I can glue it right to the foam (which I imagine will add a bit of extra support to the edges, which can at times be about 1/16" or less shorter than the mount template - a margin of error about the width of the cutting blade). Then I can cut out the tabs and be done with it.

If the GSD file just cut out the basic block, that would be fine.

Do you think that it would be best for me to actually cut a 6 1/16" x 6 1/16" square and then mount the template and then cut the 80 degree slope and tabs by hand? That would take longer, but if it made a better end product, that would still be great.

Either way, having a GSD file for the mounts would be helpful.
