In all honesty (and I shouldnt be saying this) I dont think that you should release demos.. I think that the pictures stand for themselves, if thats not good enough then they can easily buy one of your sets I mean its not that expencive.  The only people that want the demos are freeloaders that dont intend to buy them anyways.. you also get those skeptic people but if you look at it would a person go to all the trouble of making this great site, complete with its own message board, on its own url just to screw a single person outta 23.53$?  It would be rediculous.  I would rather you spend your time on getting a new set out but thats just me.. Just my 2 cents sorry for posting so much but I like seeing new stuff.

I hear what your saying and I honestly havent made up my mind just yet. The bottom line is that people will have to trust the pictures because WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! I pride myself on the quality of the artwork and I'm attempting to raise the bar on the whole cardstock model market. Its not just the models, its the instruction set and the overall follow through that makes my products top notch (I hope). It is sad to think that there are those out there who would rather pirate or freeload and kill my business than throw down a measly $15.00 on a killer product. I've invested a huge chunk of time and money into this thing and I really want it to take off. Not just for my sake but for the gamers! These things are cheap, they look fantastic and you can build as many as you want. I would have freaked out in my early RPG days if I saw a product like this. I know what its like to be a poor gamer but theres really no excuse...15 dollars is nothing for what I am offering.

Yeah its really sad how this world is coming along.  I am glad that these things are available to my generation but overalll were a pathetic lot..

Still a small downloadable example would be nice.
Like a table/chair combo from the Dungeonworks, and nothing more (max 1 printable sheet).
It has to be simple, but good looking (also it is not a problem if it is only a part of the next upcoming product, just a sample)

If he were to do a demo I dont think that it should be something from one of the sets because that way the people who have bought his sets get a little bonus.  so it should be wanted by all of the people not just the ones who havent bought anything yet.

I will admit, I have bought sets based on a sample from one of your competitors (Microtactix) I agree that it should not be a part of the regular set, You could also do a black and white version just to let people see how easy it is to put together

i would say a small demo would be good, just because i would get more people to the site and up traffic.

What i would make the demo, i have no idea. 1 sheet, maybe black and white, but table chairs sounds like a good idea, since it shows how easy it is to fold and the quality. or a small add on for dungeon works, like coffins and an alter.

But no more. the pictures due seem to do the job (i bought based on the pictures). You put a lot of effort into the picture so that helps in makeing it look good.

I think that a couple of chairs or tables would be good, Black and white wouldn’t much matter though, people could just as easily colour them. (and colour is spelt correctly  :P)
My suggestion would be to include a skeleton, zombie and or goblin cutout. So that you get the feel for the product but still don’t own the product.

I'm a big fan of small demos.  The screen shots are good, but it tells me nothing about how well they will print on my particular system, how sturdy the models are, or how difficult they are to construct.  I'm really not eager to buy a product only to find out that I have to replace my printer to use it as intended, or that I will need to replace them each session, or that they are so difficult to construct that I have to choose between using my limited free time to construct models or prep for my game.  I'm also interested in seeing how well they work with the Dwarven Forge products (I have a lot and don't want to have to make an either-or decision).

I have learned through experience that most marketing materials are designed to sell the product, and as such include a lot of spin that may or may not accurately represent the product.  Demos allow the customer to see for themselves what is spin and what is true.  Books provide excepts, car dealers allow test drives, software companies distribute trial editions or time limited versions, food vendors give samples in grocery stores, clothing retails allow customers to try on clothes, etc.

I'm currently contemplating purchasing all of the available sets, and a single page demo could clench the decision for me.  In the mean time I'm waiting to see if I can find anyone in the area (SW VA) who has had the opportunity to try the product, especially with a convention coming up in less than two weeks ().  I would like to find a product to use at the convention so that I won't have to risk damaging or losing my Dwarven Forge collection.

Unfortunately, demos are #800 on the list of things to do at the moment. I do understand that some people need the extra push and I fully intend to get something out (at some point when I have time). In the mean time I'm counting on people to read other customer comments and ask them questions. The printer issue is a tough one as they all have their own unique way of functioning. They differ mostly in the way they handle margin settings (A crucial problem). The bottom line is that it’s impossible to make my product compliant with the thousands of printers on the market. Some are buggy, some aren’t. For those who do have problems the WorldWorks users themselves have come up with multiple work-arounds to resolve the issue.

I realize the demo issue is just that “an issue”. So…I can offer you a small "door" demo from DungeonWorks. It’s the best I can do at the moment. I hope it helps ;D

Thanks.  I'll give the door a try.  The printer here at the office seems to have the margin issues, but I'll try at home on my personal printer this evening.  The artwork is gorgeous, I think this has clenched the decision.  Now I just need to come up with an adventure to use this in for the con.  ;D

I love the door demo, it shows your use of the pdf format and I was able to campare it to my miniatures. I think anything more might be too much of a give away.
