Greetings - Please forgive me as I'm relatively new to this site. I just discovered the world of WorldWorks Games and I'm totally amazed, impressed and befuddled. I purchased almost the entire collection of The Streets of Mayhem, but I having a hard time getting my head around the concept of layout planning and was hoping someone could help. Without building all of the pieces from all of the collections, I'd like to start building a game board that could be expanded as my time and skills develop. Has anyone developed, or are there any "suggested layouts" that I could use as a model? As a kid, when you bought Legos, even thought they could be assembled in virtually any combination you could imagine, each set came with an instruction booklet that showed you how to assemble the pieces into a number of useful forms. Does anything like this exist for GamesWork worlds? I've scoured the forum pages and have found a few suggestions for sets I don't have, but nothing for Mayhew. Or maybe someone has a few they would be willing to share???

Edit: I took a second look at that and realized that it is designed from the perspective of a 1.5" table. Dang. Most of it can be adapted if you use another format but it'll be a bit more work. Other than that thread, I don't recall any other suggested builds for mayhem. The only other piece of advice I might have is to emulate the promo pictures? Otherwise, you might actually have to use your imagination...

Think about what you are going to use the table for, and start with the most useful pieces for you. Wargames, you might want to start with straight tiles and flats builds. RPGs, you might want to consider a smaller, more detailed approach. Zombie games like All Things Zombie might fall somewhere in the middle.
