Thanks for the updates Denny! I don't know how feasible this would be, but if you did a bimonthly video update I think it would really help to stem the tides of unrest on the forums.

One last question that managed to slip through unanswered... When will we see updates to the TLX planner? Are we waiting on Brent?

I'm going to do my very best to create bi-monthly videos (along with the help of some friends

). It's an important means of keeping things real.

Forgot about the planner. Yes, we have a few tile set updates to do, which will likely be released in a single dump, once we've managed to get some of the above projects across the finish line.

I like the idea of video updates. You should drag some of your minions on camera to get them to talk about their projects.

Really ! I understand quite well but I supose a lot of non English speakers will love to see a subtitled one at least !

Thank you for the 'fireside chat', apart from anything else it was nice to hear a voice and see the moving image of the capo of WWG.

Mind you, I am not sure it was entirely reassuring in relation to my impatient desire for some of the works in progress, but we're all on the same side here - right?

I just want WWG to be successful.

And to produce all the new stuff.

And then more.

And more.

That goes for me too (I'm deaf). I'm slowly getting used to reading Denny's lips (he's done the video thing for internal dev before and we've been in some video meetings), but my hit rate is still below 50% at the moment, so I'm still not quite catching as much as I'd like. I did like the annotation balloons, though, and I really appreciated the effort Denny put into enunciation, facing the camera, and not covering his mouth. :lol:

The more I'm around someone, the better I get at reading their lips. That means more videos!

That said, I'll try to add summary annotations to the next one for those with issues.

The biggest problem with reading my lips is that my upper lip tends to move very little. Odd yes?

Are more expansions there going to be on hold for a little while?
Not complaining (as we got a bunch of sets before, and I know other places need attention) just trying to set my expectations.

Edit: One more question... Who's the third Full Time Person. You, Matt and ??? It's not Abrey I don't think as he's busy running his store....

Yeah, I gathered as much from what I was able to catch, but I needed the lipreading practice anyway. :lol:

I've seen worse impediments to lipreading. Mustaches that hang down past the upper lip, people who mumble, or thick foreign/regional accents drive me absolutely bananuts. :lol:

What's really odd is that annotations or summaries are good enough for me. It's like I mentally load a specific dictionary relevant to the context or something--my hit rate goes up sharply when I know the subject and gist of what's being said, probably because I'm looking for or expecting certain words and connecting the dots. This drives Mrs E nuts when she suddenly changes the subject in the middle of a conversation and I'm suddenly lost and going "Huh? You do what to pancakes now?"

I would lump Himmelveil into a general medieval category at this stage. In that context, there are many things that I would like to do but the direction of those projects largely depends upon other commitments (and or whether or not I can roll those projects into other projects). Either way you'll see a lot more medieval coming out eventually and in a way that keeps things fresh. That falls into the "things I can't talk about yet" category.

I would consider "full time" staff to be comprised of myself, Matt, Aubrey, Tracey and to a lesser degree Paul. All of whom have done this legitimately full-time at various stages. Aubrey is pulling double duty at his other business currently. Paul is predominantly working his other job right now. There's more moving parts to WWG than may be immediately apparent though and it takes a group effort to keep everything running smoothly.

Which now leaves me out of the update loop on Garden, which I have been VERY patient about for quite a while now.

Video notes for those that requested it (note that most of this is me paraphrasing and such):

TerraClips were revealed at GenCon with a beta-factory run that was flawed. Over the past few weeks conversations with the manufacturer have included everything from changes in card quality and more attractive clips. Timeline is uncertain but it is up to the factory. It is “soon” and “as fast as they can.”

Tracy Hickman is working with WWG for a series of products. This can’t be discussed now. There will be more news “soon” and definitely more discussion once the new website is up and running.

Matt Lyon is hard at work on a few unrevealed products.

TerrainLinx mounts is taking a long time, but is hopefully going to be rolled out within the next two months (probably with the new site). Also, this will be an “on-demand” product.

Titan, Gardens and Gothic Realms (conversion) are all done by part-time subcontracted employees. They are all VERY close, but are waiting on a final push in post production. [note that Titan is now released]

Deadfall is basically a western-themed series awaiting different relationships to pan out for a more solid direction. This will be the same kind of infrastructure make-up as Himmelveil, but most likely much faster than Himmelveil.

The Wormhole Expansion is in a similar situation as Titan, Gardens and Gothic Realms and hopefully will be seen early next year.

Most things will see more movement once the new website is up and running.

Also, there are other things behind the scenes that can’t be discussed at this time.

So basically, the answer to most questions is some variation of "soon" or "with the new website."
