I must admit that after living and studying in Spain for two years, it's a whole heck of a lot easier to spell in Spanish. (Although I thought Vale was spelled Bale for quite some time... )

To non- English types, allow me to clarify. No one can massacre a language like a native speaker, and it's to them I refer. People who I personally know to be native English speakers consistently have worse spelling, punctuation, and grammar than almost any foreigner or migrant. If you have grown up with the language and the practice of typing, you should be able to type the language. That's all I'm saying, and apologies to offended parties.

Pay close attention, people: We were joking. I'll leave Grump to speak for himself, but as for me:
While I obviously prefer clear communication, I am not an unreasonable person and I fully understand that this language is not the primary language for many WWG fans. If the board were in Spanish, I would be struggling right alongside you. In any other language, I'd be doing a lot of Google Translating and probably insulting all your families by accident.
I do not think it's unfair to expect English speakers to speak English. To speakers of other languages, I'm happy to see you on the board and you won't find a single post of mine mocking you or your efforts to speak one of the most difficult languages to learn.

I've the problem that try to write in english as if I were speaking in spanish...and sometimes is quite hard to do... So no hard feelings against you or Grump... I even would apreciate if I get corrected to see what I do wrong...

I'm quite sure that this forum is full of civilizated people, if I get offended sometime by something I belive I would have to ask if I've understood it well because I'm quite sure that the problem would be with my "english level" and not with the words written...

Do you know what the worst thing is about this forum? A man really can’t start a nice flamewar on here. People are just too nice, civilized and polite to each other. Really, with posters like these, who ever needs moderators? (and yes, that was a compliment).

I do feel your pain. The constant deterioration of the language is the same in any language. I sometimes yell to my wife when I see typos in advertisements. I am a graphic designer, so I have to have an eye for things like that. I still think a correct use of the language you speak is a matter of respect for yourself and for the people you are talking to. So yes, I do feel your pain. And I do try my very best not to abolish the English language too much. It’s just that I don’t always succeed.

I won't touch the new Warhammer even with a very long pole (really no time, no money...and not realy of my taste...) but I've bough the "sun and cone of flames" -dont' know how they are really called is one of the packs for measure radius and magic... to use in my rpg savage worlds campaings...and they look wonderfull on the table !

I'd been thinking of doing the same and using them with non-gridded terrain (up till now it;s been gridded all the way).
Is that what you're doing? How well does it work?

I have not played the new Warhammer, but the changes look... interesting. Mostly in a good way.

I don't know what they have done to my armies yet - I have Vampire Counts, Empire, and thanks to Mantic, Dwarfs (not yet painted). With a little work I might be able to field Tomb Kings as well. (This is what happens when you have been a gamer for thirty five plus years. Most of these started as figures for RPGs.)

The Auld Grump, my oldest figure is a Minifig from 1972....

For now I only used it in the last adventure....and as I want to go someday and buy also the rules not only the templates (that last ones are the ones I used...they have a bit of diferent size from the oficial...the cone at the "top" is a bit more slim and the radius you can use it for large and medium if you use the "points" of the star... is not exactly the same size but as you go with it for all the players then it's the same) as I use also 1" maps I don't have need for the rules...but they are so shiny that I supose I would end buying them... and maybe some of the tokens if I could give use to them...

Ok ! keeping the post on and out off topic... I have bought the rules set... the rule is a bit "dificult" to use...as is folded in a very strange way...cool but not too much usefull...the one that seems a compas (the one you use to rule puting one point in A and other in B) that one is quite cool and more usefull... not sure if I will use it as all is printed in 1" but someday maybe I've terrain non-gridded and will try to have it at hand...

A few sites that I frequent seem to be having excessive issues with spambots lately. I wonder what is causing the increase.

Just a thought:
Maybe recent college grads/geeks with too much time on their hands (because they can't get jobs) going to questionable web sites and getting their computers infested?

I dont think these sre 'bots anymore...I think some folks are now getting paid really pitiful wages to post spam on websites..The more they post, and the longer it stays online...More they get paid.
