A cliff face entrance for my Dwarven Citadel!

Any chance for a release this side of Christmas guys? I could string out the journey to the citadel 'til then (and my never ending building of Halls/Vaults may even get close to being finished!)

I have no inside information, but based on past experience, I would think there's a pretty good chance that we will have this by Christmas...

I can give supporting facts when I get a bit more time....

This could be so very useful in so many ways... Cliffs in TLX could lead to all sorts of neat stuff ... mine tunnels, road tunnels ...Thunder Mountain! WOW! Add forrest which is the works too and the scenery possibilities are going to be incredible! I can hardly wait!!!

Could we have some tiles with dirt around them to integrate with himmelveil streets to make some back yards and courtyards?

And with Thoumonts TLX (if the Thoumonts tiles differ from the Himmelveil ones)?

There's no outside tiles in Thoumonts TLX., there were some in the orginal set, but not the TLX set. All the floor tiles are interior tiles.

As said I will get this the minute I know it is out. Hinterlands is one of my most used sets and I love it will be tlxed.

Is this going to use some variation on the Slope system (for those who haven't read my thread, basically a modified Thoumont's TLX Roofing system) I used for my homebrew of this? If not, would you be amenable to me submitting that as a Kitbash once this is out?

I second this as well. Having some transitiony like tiles would be awesome! I'm slowy putting together a built right now where I want to add some green space to my city.

I'm about to start a hinterland build, ,mostly just TLX the ground tiles (bashed the ones I need already). I have different solution for the tree's and hills.

Just wondering if the new TLX friendly hinterland ground will still look the same as the old grass ground or if it's a totally new texture?

I just don't want to go to all the trouble of making 40-50 odd tiles and then I can't really make use of the new tiles as the textures have changed to much and they just wont mesh visually so to speak

Like the Mayhem versions, this will largely be a direct port with improvements made where possible and a few additions.

In the case of the groundtile art it's the same but it's been made brighter and more colourful. The grids have also been replaced with a more natural look than simply slapping lines down.

Matt thanks for the quick reply, I'll see if I can wait i'll cut the 50 odd templates first to keep busy . If I need to thought at least I can start knowing the textures wont clash to badly, especially as I'm going gridless

Apart from the grid lines the only real change of significance is the re-scaling to 6"x6" format.

As a heavy hinterland user already, how well will the original terrain mess with the new TLX stuff? I know the ground tiles are not going to be interchangeable, but what about the old cliff system stuff, trees, waterfalls, rocks, etc?

The old cliff system will be completely replaced in an upcoming set.

The simple trees have been shrunk slightly to accomodate robo-cutters, everything else remains pretty much the same with a few additions and some minor graphical tweaks. Optional foamcore bases for trees will also be included.

The only significant difference in the props is the removal of the completely unecessary undersides which really didn't do much to improve stability and served only to make builds more fiddly.

That would be more of an Atlantis thing.

As for the cliffs themselves... well, all I'll say for now is they'll be... different.

Progress chart lists this at 50% and Forests at 75% but still no teasers on either? What, are you TRYING to kill me from anticipation?!

As anxious as I am as well, I am confident that Matt will get this out the door in quick order like always. Matt is a cardstock-designing beast!

I'm planning a TLX scifi city and being able to have parks with trees in that format would be great, so I"m looking forward to this as well!

But realistically you can just look at the old set's promos to get an idea of content, just imagine the tiles in tlx format and ignore the cliffs.

And before anyone asks yes, the tiles come with and without anchors.

Geez, how about throwing in a monster of a redwood tree just to make a change (not that you don't have enough to do) ... kind of like the holy tree in Avatar. Just a thought ... off the wall maybe ... but ???? I like the idea.
