TLX Noob With a Question.

I have recently purchased Titan and have a bunch of it printed. I started cutting today and thought to myself, is there a good reason to cut out the flared notch on the floor tabs (Bottom of the floor tile)? Does anyone know why cutting this out is absolutely necessary? Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

The notch makes it a little bit easier to insert a tab... getting a tab in would be a bit more fiddly without it. Go ahead and experiment though, maybe you'll like it better without.

Thanks for the welcome and the response. I figured it had something to do with ease of tab insertion, but my mind would just not let go of wondering if it was necessary. Also, not having to make those 3-6 additional cuts on each side makes for much less cutting in the long run. Thanks again!

The notch also makes it easier to get the tab out of the slot if you didn't line the foam core up exactly and the floor tile tab is sticking slightly after pulling out a connector.

But I agree with Sacretis, build a tile both ways and see which one you like better. Thats one of the wonderful things about building you own stuff, you can customize it to make it exactly what you want.
