I have no anti-spam stick of doom. I am a little more modern and have a spam target-lock smart missile system. And once I figure out how to split topics, all those off-topic tangents will find new homes MUAHAHAHA!!!!!

Have a feeling all we can do is squash spam, and get the visible ip of the spammer Is their a place that we can report spammers ip's to get them blocked?..either here or elsewhere online?

Now, see, that sort of abuse of Mod power is what makes it all worthwhile!

Not a bad idea, but smart spammers spoof their IPs so the number you get is actually just a throw-away or it belongs to some random non-spammer. As easy as it is to set up decent network security, many places just don't take the time so man-in-the-middle attacks can spoof all your MAC and IP info.

Yup...but it would at least take one address out of their pool, and maybe give them a clue that we were not worth messing with...i.e they wont be making any money or getting any hits from this forum ...Well I can dream anyway

I was looking around the WWG forums for the posting rules and couldn't find them (rolled a fumble on my search-fu). Can someone point me to them?

Keep this in mind when posting on these forums.

Posting Rules
1. We're a friendly forum Keep it that way - Always!

2. Keep the language, tone and content of your posts appropriate to a very wide audience.
(This hobby is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds - respect this when you post.)

3. Offensive images or posts are not permitted.

4. Disagreement is fine - as long as it is about the topic, not the person.

5. Directing customers to, or linking to, competing products (including free downloads) is not permitted.
- Links to products/sites which don't conflict with WWG's current or upcoming product lines are fine.
- Links to "competitors" who show mutual respect with WWG (e.g. Ebbles Miniatures) are also fine.
(FYI, WWG operates in a niche market with narrow margins. Support (i.e. purchases) from customers like you is what enables WWG to keep producing great products.)

I can't seem to find anything of the sort either. I say we invoke the Rule Of Three and make it so. We will need a list of allowable friendly competitors, otherwise we will have disagreements about who qualifies as "friendly."
