Do you have transitional tiles to go to the other sets, specifically for the edge of town or transitioning one road to the next?

I'm not sure if Matt squeezed one of those in there. It would be great to have one that transitions to Himmelveil streets though. I'll ask!

Great pics! I can't wait to see this one in action. Hinterlands is one of my favorite and most used sets.

There is one tile (not shown here) that transitions from the streams to Himmelveil canals.

The TLX wall-of-tree is GENIUS.

Are their cliffs in this release?
I see the tree wall, and a BIG rock, cool hills, but what about the old cliffs.
Did those get changed to TLX some how?

Total agree. I have the old 7x7 format, but I am going to have to get the new TLX one I think, and the Cliffs.

I believe the cliffs set will be released as a separate release. Looking at what's shown as a preview it seems like the new forest will be a complete and comprehensive sit by itself, I think it would be very difficult to charge enough as a single product to make up for the work that will end up going into the forest and cliffs combined.

Cliffs are indeed a seperate set. Out of necessity they will be... different.

looking very nice, and even better it looks like there are raised drop down plinth sections we can bash for other purposes .

I better get my mahem build done quick as I'll definitely want to start this once released (more versatility across gaming genra)

Humm... I'm thinking with some Titan transition tiles, one could have an indoor (in space?) Bio zone. Kinda like the big park thing on Babylon 5

Well, you might be able to do some nice cross-overs with Mayhem streets of legend. The Apocalyptic version has some nice concrete walls with vegetation growing on them.

How well will this link with The Garden? Does that need transition tiles? Or will the default tiles work?

The thought of having my Silhouette cut out the trees makes me happy.

Just sank in on like the 8th viewing, the new Hinterland has like 4 different size basic trees and different shade greens and 2 styles. I Think the first Thing I'll be doing with the new set is cutting out more trees.


Edit: by the way will you include pointers on how you built the foamcore based tree in the inset of the second picture?

All of the medium sized and large trees will come with optional foamcore bases. It will all be covered in the set-specific instructions.

I just bought the regular Hinterlands about 2 months ago and realized I really wanted a TLX version. Even if it was just the mounts & tiles.
