Been trying to get this up on our store as well but between our server getting hammered after Hinterland Forests release its been tough. Creating bundles at RPGNow is pretty easy compared to the hoops I have to jump through here (though that will be resolved when the new site launches ).

Sweet deal. I love CWU! This also made me realize that I have not built much from Castles and Keeps...I should though.

Thanks for the post! Just picked them up! Still in the beginning of my maiden build,(kitbash airship), then canals/thoumonts expansion for himm, then castle? Then garden, then forests? Good thing we take turns as DM. I'll need the next 6 weeks to finish my ship, and another 6 months for the rest of the paper goodness! Anyway, another great find, can't wait to dig in!! So how do we let all those people who're lining up for the Winterhawk set know that the WWG sets/deal is available?

The internet is an odd place...

Make a good build, take good pictures and show them off on all the forums you visit making sure your not breaking any rules about posting links to commercial products. I will normally post pictures and mention the set names if those rules are in place.

That would be the best way to spread the word about WWG. Take in game shots.

The disparity in sales is not due to people not knowing about the deal. Anyone going to RPGNow can plainly see that the two products are being offered side by side:

There are other factors at play. Denny can correct me on this, but I believe that most of WWG's sales are from the WWG storefront, although this discount deal is not available there. Also, the Castleworks product has been out for a while already, so that many of those who are buying the FDG product already own the WWG products. The Castleworks discount is an opportunity timed to generate some movement on an older product, but I don't think Denny was expecting a large spike in sales.

Denny may correct me here, but I believe that the appearance of the Castleworks deal one day after the release of the FDG product has more to do with publicly asserting the chronological precedence of the WWG product.

In any case, Zenguy, I don't share your assessment of FDG product as "massively inferior". It is simply a different product in a different visual style and geometry. Each product enriches the market for consumers by providing more choice. I suspect that many, like myself, will use both.

Ditto! Well said, Afet. I am one of those who uses both WWG and FDG, and models made by other sources as well. I would venture to say most people do.

Yeah, given the age of the two products being showcased and their saturation (were and still are pretty popular sets) I wasn't expecting huge sales volumes at RPGNow. That said, once again, I'm surprised at the volume of sales it has generated. I guess the price was right

And you are absolutely right about our primary sales being generated here at home. That sales chart at OBS would look distinctly different if that was our only outlet

Although I am newer to the paper terrain world, I too have purchased products from both WWG and FDG because there are things I like about the sets from both companies.... they are not inferior/superior.... just different. So I have the castles from both and am looking forward to a giant castle build.
