I finally made the decision to hop into this hobby by buying the dwarf halls and streets of legend. However, as I began assembling some printouts I noticed that I seem to be having inconsistent lengths and widths. For example, if we take the 6" x 6" dwarf floor piece, it is precisely 6 inches long when measuring the side that is parallel to the shorter side of printer paper, but the side which is parallel to the longer side of paper is something like 6 and 5/16 inches long. So in essence, one dimension is normal and the other is elongated.

This issue seems to be the case with both of my purchases, and throughout different floors. Possibly throughout walls and other things, too, though I can't really tell as the wall height variation isn't so obvious. I do have the printer set to *not* scale the files in any way, so the dimensions of the PDF should be untouched. What could be the cause and the solution for this? I don't suspect that my printer is simply crappy or anything, as I recall having printed some 2D maptiles earlier this year with no such problem.

Printer accuracy is a common problem that affects this hobby...as i first step I might suggest taking a look at the first sticky in this section.... and see if your printer is mentioned.
That should give you an idea of the issues too

An extra 5/16" is pretty extreme for printer inaccuracy. My guess is that this is a scaling issue.

I know you said you had the printer set to not scale, but do you also have your PDF viewer set to not scale?

I believe I located the problem. Seems that I don't quite know the meaning of all the different printer settings, afterall. I had unwittingly forced the printer to print the pages in the size of the document, even though I'm using European A4. Testings indicate that this is what caused my issue. Thanks to you who answered, and to you who would have answered, had I not been able to fix this.
