...of my PC:RS mechs & thought I'd post them. This was my first WWG purchase & while I didn't have space, time, or fellow gamers to do a scenery build, I had a lot of fun making mechs! I did Mechwarrior style stuff, and I had to hack & bash some body pieces, and invent at least one (the bird foot on the Vulture). They're all multicolored because I printed one copy of the whole PC:RS set & just used what I had. Anyway:

Vulture - the whole torso of this is a bash, and the feet are scratch built.

Why do I suddenly want to buy PC: Red Sector Anyway, good work uncre8d1!!

Does my heart good to see the old mechs being used in the free-form, DIY, anything goes format they were intended for!

Talae: The binders are printouts of some of the Baen free CD books (I really liked the Posleen War, Empire of Man, & Council War series).

CapnG: Glad you like it! Working with your stuff really got me excited about the possibilities of this strange world of 'kit-bashing,' and that got me involved in the forum here!

ISO files: unzip the ISO file and either mount the image with Daemon Tools or burn it to a CD with ISO Recorder (free)

'CD.zip' files: Unzip the files to their own folder, then go into the folder & open 'index.html.' You can use that to navigate through the different books - though some of the discs have extra books that got thrown in at the last minute and you can find those just by browsing thru the unzipped files.

I should point out that the newer discs all have reader software right on the disc so you can read any of the formats. Try a couple of them, and find your favorite. I like the Kindle reader myself.

Yeah I have a few dozen books from them on my phone. Html version works great.


You don't need the reader. When you open the folder and see a list of files look at the file name endings.


*****__toc.html = table of contents
*****__1.html = chapter 1
*****__2.html = chapter 2
etc.

Additionally open any chapter and the top right corner has links, back, next, and contents (toc).

Most are scifi, or military scifi.

A few fantasy too.
