I just got my CISS working last night. I got it from inkproducts.com for my Canon Pixma iP4820 (which was on the "accurate" list), and everything is going just fine. I lost a chip while I was extracting chips from cartridges, and had to scrounge for another Cyan chip, and I wound up with ink all over one of my hands, which will have to wear off in a few days. But it's pretty awesome -- I printed out an entire Wormhole fleet last night, TOS and trays and all, and the Sathrican Homeworld, and three armies' worth of WWII flats, and half a dozen biplanes, and I've barely even dented the levels in the tanks. And I have 8 or 16 ounce bottles handy, which cost about as much as new cartridges.

Leaving the vents open is making the area around my printer smell like ink. Does the smell go away? And are you supposed to close the vents when you're not using the printer, or just leave them open?
