I think that this is a really good move...as much as I love the TLX concept... there's been a looooong time since I don't build anything because I belive it's tooo much time consuming (at least untill you get the edge of it or we could buy the bases for it) but that...that I belive will be print fold and put... perfect to give athmosphere...

Hope it's released soon because it looks fantastic (but really I don't know where to fit it in the next Conan Campaing I'm planing ¿¿??)

What Bayushi said - Quick Builds combined with those that took a little bit longer to build - absolutely the right move. Another problem with your beautiful WWG Stuff is that i can't decide which set / setting to build because they have all their purposes.

I should probably note that the above promo is showing a stacked configuration. The core building module is 4 stories tall but they are designed to be stackable modules. I was/am working on a 12 story build and with the Chronometer add-on that brings it to about 16 stories

This is so what I want! I will be loading a table full of it with absolute joy, and since I don't smoke while doing builds, I think I'll break the tobacco habit by the time I'm done with every permutation I can think off with this set and any other 'swift scenics' you come out with.

I am loving how Denny has made the balcony/buttress attachment points a seamless part of the design. I did not even see the vertical slots until I was trying to figure out how he was bracing them.

There is a lot TLX based lessons being applied to this new scenic line. I think it will be much much more than the traditional box style builds

This really reminds me of the PS3 game Killzone 2. Its got a look that screams Hellghast to me.

Will the buildings anchor to a TLX ground tile already and we're waiting on ground tiles with this texture or will the TLX features not be that backward compatable?

Just to clarify; I said we'll be doing a TLX version down the road. It does not directly link into TerrainlinX but it will sit happily on the table with TerrainlinX.

My mistake, I didn't go back and read it so I assumed the above meant TLX would be incorporated. Since there will be a seperate TLX release will this set include ground tiles or do we need to find ground tiles from another set that seem fitting (or paint a table/board an appropriately dark neutral color)?

Also, I'm curious why two seperate releases? I'm assuming the TLX version will allow you to go beyond "Hollywood Flats" to full interiors etc. but not sure. I guess my main concern would be ground tiles and the stability of the buildings if no way of anchoring them is provided.

If there is any negative vibe to this ignore it, I'm totally excited by this release, in fact it just jumped to the top of my buy list...sorry "Mayhem Destroyed" and "Streets of Mayhem" All though...if I can manage to learn how to kit bash...and put these textures on "Mayhem Destroyed" then I'll be in Heaven. Hive war here we come.

Quick and dirty hack I can already see if the buildings are solid based, cut a square hole in the bottom and instant anchor point. If the bottom is open just fold up the anchors near the edges of the building and your done.

Personally I would be more concerned about stability on a typical table than on TLX. But I know Denny has already solved this problem once, so I am looking forward to a new twist on the hot glue and penny strip techniques.

By the way , Denny, I have not yet quite got the nack of rubberizing. May be a video on this one with the new set

I only play RPGs, D&D specifically, and I have never seen a grid as a requirement. It is helpful, but by no means necessary.

If you're talking about street tiles; Streets of Himmelveil, Streets of Legend and an as of yet mentioned project will all work with these buildings depending on what sort of game you're running.



The eventual TerrainlinX version will include full interiors and flooring.

In terms of the SwiftScenics buildings, you glue the base to a foamcore tile template.

Wow, every promo shot I see makes me like this set more and more. And I'm not referring to the "quickness" of it, I'm just talking about the artwork. It seems to encompass so many genres all at once, and yet doesn't look awkward doing so. And the fact that you've got not only a TLX version, but a Destroyed version coming out is going to make this set very versatile.

Its a good thing the other versions won't be out for some time...I've got enough on my building plate as it is. Jeez.

Does 'swift scenics' also mean quicker releases as well? Just wondering ... hoping ... ready to grab this set ASAP. I just can't tell you how happy I am over this new product line. Gosh, I love those graphics!!!

I think the "quicker releases" comes from the "new us" that Denny mentioned in one of the other threads.

My theory is they got a "kick in the panties" wetware upgrade for all employees over the holidays, and we're seeing the benefits of it.

I think Denny's trying to figure out what the maximum amount of cash we can throw at him each month, and ramping up the delivery schedule to match that.
