Small glitch at checkout: the redirect page loaded after Paypal payment sent me to the Oubliette of Peril (my previous purchase) page.
However, at my downloads page in the account setting, everything was in order.

Not that I don't totally *love* this set (which I do!) but I do have a question. This set is meant to work with various systems (DnD, Warhammer, etc); my question pertains to DnD 4e, which is what I play.

In DnD 4e, there are a *ton* of various player conditions (bloodied, dominated, marked, dazed, etc.) that aren't included. I was kind of bummed about that. I would have liked to have seen a complete list of condition markers, if only for visual continuity on the battlefield. Whatever way I am tracking conditions, I would like it to look the same for everyone. What I don't want is to have one player's "poisoned" condition tracked with an awesome-looking WWG counter while another player's "dazed" condition is tracked with a folded up piece of index card with sharpie marker scrawled on it.

Again, I realize that this is not a "DnD Battle Pack" and as such there is the question of which elements should be included for which game systems. But, for me, it kind of renders the conditions markers unusable.

That said, please don't think me a Negative Nancy. I really, really, LOVE this set, and the turn counter alone in particular is worth the modest purchase price.

There is viable imagery included that could be used for many of the ones not included. I would think that a simple kitbash to change the words underneath would go over really well.

Yeah, I've been getting that problem with my recent orders too. As you say though, once you go to your account everything seems OK.

I've just spent the last two hours trying to use GIMP to do a "simple kitbash" (a sheet of Thoumonts antiwarp triangles) and have little to show for it. For a lot of people, these things aren't accomplished quite as easily as they are spoken.

I do agree with your main point, that being the fact that it would be a simple kitbash, if I had the mad skillz. Which, apparantly, I don't. Sigh. But I'm not giving up. Its a steep learning curve, but I'll keep trying.

EDIT: Woot! I was finally successful at getting my antiwarp triangles done! I eventually had to just tell the printer to print it at 108% to make it the right size, but...whatev. So...maybe I *will* take a crack at those condition markers after all.

This is where doing a few of of these as a PDF Form would be brilliant - just enter in the desired text and le voila!

This is where I cheat.

Really simple Kit-Bashes can be done on Power Point, though there's no guarantee the scale will match perfectly.

However, you can cut-paste the pic into a slide and simply place a filled text box over the other text. Works wonders...

Great for those of us not looking for an official fix. Works with pretty much any program where you can import an image.

I've found it to work decently on a number of things. If you want to steal a texture to put into a different shape, PPT transparency works wonders with a quick copy/paste into and back out of Paint.

If you want to blow something up or shrink it down.

If you want to copy a shape, but put your own stuff inside of it. (Perfect for these tokens).

etc.

The hardcore photoshoping is best done when you need to make some core changes to coloring, or need to blend something in much better than a copy/paste will actually do for you. (I.E. real artistic stuff).

I've made an entire line of Orkish Vehicles using Powerpoint and modifications to/from the Red Sector Line. With some stolen bits from a few other places...

So, for anyone who's made them....

How are the cardstock movement trays? Are they strong enough to pick up and holl a full squad of 20 guys (WH Plastic), or does the back end bend and cause everything to fall over?

They'll hold a tray full of lead if you want them to.

Matt's comment assumes, of course, that you make them out of cardstock. Make them out of paper and all bets are off.
