I've attempted to place my anchors according to the excellent tiny guide marks on the tiles.

I've now completed 3 tiles (woot!) and was connecting them together last night. I managed to split a post that I put over anchors of two adjacent tiles The other anchors seems pretty ok.

So it would seem that this anchor set was not quite tight enough to the edge of the tiles?

Should anchors be exactly on the edge of the tile? I seem to have them in a fraction of a mm based on the guild marks. Should they be exactly up against the edge?

Thinking about it, it seems obvious (now!) to me that they should be - as they're meant to be the same width as one whole anchor which would consist of two half anchors exactly side by side - assuming there's no additional width in the whole ones compared to half ones.

So - do you guys have your anchors right up against the edge of the tile, or do you try and align them based on the arms and the guide marks alone? Even if that results in them being in a tiny bit.

As close to the edge as possible. The marks on the groudtiles are really there for general alignment purposes and as a "do not go over this line" sort of thing.

In retrospect that seems kind of obvious but I was lost in the cutting and gluing which still takes all my concentration at this stage
