I installed my CISS yesterday, and I'm quite pleased with it. I'm not getting quite as crisp prints as with the Epson carts, but the difference in print cost makes up for it. And after some toying with the settings I'm quite pleased with what I'm getting. Camera is out of batteries right now, but I'll see if I can post a comparison shot sometime in the future.
I'd reccomend it to others, and it's fantastic for printing text documents - rulebooks and the like.

I have always contemplated CISS and will hopefully get either a CISS installed with a new printer or just go laser sometime soon.

Take your time , and fuss around with the settings some...its not like you cant afford to use up ink now...I changed the balance manually, and set it to print a little lighter...got a pretty good result. And at about 1000 plus pages later I spent my first $30 for a complete new double fill of ink...I am really happy with mine

Please share what printer you bought, what CISS you bought, and any reference material that helped you.

When I was researching CISS it was hard to find good documentation on what CISS worked well which which printer and how to get it all setup. That's ultimately why I went with refillable carts; much less ambiguity on compatibility or support.

I had my doubts about a CISS when I started...I thought it would be a lot of trouble to use and refill...I am very happy to say I was totally wrong It took a little fiddling to get the printer to accept the chips in the reservoirs, and a wee bit of tinkering to get the colours right. I have had one problem with it, when i thought the printhead was clogged...but it was the magenta reservoir had gone dry...re filled it(messiest job so far...but it need not have been) and so far its been no more trouble
