You might want to look at some of the Lord of the Rings style buildings.  They put out a Helm's Deep, which is just a gate and the walls at either side, for $75 US.

Many people made up their own full Helm's Deep models, such as:



There were siege rules in The Two Towers game, and will be again by the time the Siege of Gondor supplement comes out.  I'll bet some Minas Tirith style castle pieces would go over well.

The figures are closer to 25mm than the normal 30mm-or-so GW stuff.  That might just mean the walls will be a bit more impressive than they might be for bigger figures.

Those may be too much of a departure from other things already in the ultimate castleworks package.  But I do think you might get some of the LotR crowd if the style fits, or if there were some pieces that fit with LotR scenarios.  (For example, Hirst Arts made a mold to cast a Weathertop style ruined tower.)  I've heard GW might release a bit of castle for the Siege of Gondor supplement, but it would be a section like the Helm's Deep section.

It is my hope that when people see CastleWorks Ultimate that they will understand its potential to re-create virtually any castle design. A Helm's deep recreation should be no problem with the new set but you'll have to wait to see Coming December...

Well, I'll be building a castle for my Army of Darkness skirmish game that I'll be running at next year's local games convention!
