Eh, it's not a big deal, it will be forced to happen most likely some place unless you make the walls that intetsect 1/2 and inch shorter or something, and you would get it at the junction of the next wall bit, or when you add on the end cap of a Turret, or Escape pod, i think there is no way around it, showing up some where they are just chossing to put it in the corridor, and you can easily say that 1/2 space is part of the other for movement, or say it count like a diagonal for d20 etc.

You're right, that looks rather bad.

I don't see why each arm of the intersection couldn't simply have been made 1/2 inch shorter! So the cross intersection would be 6" by 6". Likewise, there is NO justification for not lining up the grid in the T interstection! Just make the long side of the T 6" long, and line up those damn tiles!

Gah, I really hope we can correct this before the set is released...

I suppose the fudge tiles were places to keep a unifoirm look throughout, but I will certainly be laying down my own grid.

One way it might have been avoided is to place the fudge tiles at the edges of any given piece, so the grid squares line up in the piece itself, at least. That way, if you wanted to kitbash a set that didn't have any fudge tiles at all, all you'd have to do is cut off the extra 1/2" from the ends of the corridors.
