My only concern with this is that well Thoumonts has a bit of a more limited pallet to building than VillageWorks did. There are only so many walls that are in Thoumonts and Himmelveil. Large builds with them can get very repative. While this may not be an issue with some people. For me it can be a bit of a problem. While the Swift Scenics should help in this a bit Even they can get a bit repetative, when you go for big builds.

I was very happy to mix Mayhem (bits or downtown cant' remember the name and i now seem to be unable to log back in... got to go e-mail Mel to check it) with the new Corporate Swiftscenics to get a more varried look in the last layout I did. For me it made the set up and it really did it for the players as well. New people won't have that option to get the larger visual pallet.

Would you consider doing a few more boosters for various "base" sets to get a larger variety of options.

I know I would love to see boosters of just more walls ( a few different floor tiles i don't think would be objected to, but for me are not considered needed) for

Thoumonts
Mayhem apartments

I know I would love to get 5 more walls for each of those to just give more variety for builds.

I am going to re-submit my Harbormaster-kitbashed TLX walls when I get a chance, using the new kitbash template. While I don't have the skills to retain the peeling wall look, I do have the skills to add some grime to the walls. Even my nine-year-old wasn't buying the walls without some grime.

I've got another set of Thoumont's walls that I kitbashed, though they too need a little more styling with blemishes before they don't, as we say in the office, "suck out loud".

Now that I see more potential with the kitbash section, I'll try to get mine submitted early next month.

I totally agree that more building variations would be cool. The textures used for the TerraClips buildings, for example, aren't identical to Thoumont's, and would be nice to see in TLX form.

Like I said, there's more coming on the fantasy buildings front guys. Trust me, you'll have a lot of variety in the not too distant future.

I hope there will be Swift Scenics fantasy buildings in the near future... and I also want Castleworks TLX!

Looking forward to this a lot - especially the prospect of these being a significant update on the old sets.

Mayhem - Downtown: Will this be updated or be back in some form. Lots of good bits in here...went well with Bits of Mayhem.

Mayhem - Industrial: Will be back...Good...Suggestions...
- Modularity...Give the user the option to make the warehouse even bigger, taller, different shapes...not just square.
- Entrances...There was a wood door I think. How about a metal one? A glass door that goes straight into the an office? I remember two truck docks. How about the ability to string multiple docks in a row to make a trucking terminal. Garage doors...bigger garage door sizes to store bigger things than what would fit in a semi...

Worker: Hey boss...what's that?
Foreman: It's a crate. We have a few of them around the warehouse...maybe you've seen them? Anyway, they want us to store this combat strider here till we get further instructions.
Worker: Oh...Hey boss?
Foreman: What!?
Worker: What's a strider?


- Offices...From the way it looks like TLX is designed, will we be able to build multiple office levels? Pencil pushers on the first, supervisors on the second? Locker room for the dock workers?

Not sure if this is the place for suggestions but I thought I'd throw my two cents in.

I think your modularity concerns will be largely addressed just by the TLX conversion, which will allow you to make pretty much any blocky shaped building you can think of (but don't go linking to pics of 'Falling Water').

Great suggestions, but unless I'm way off they would get proper attention in the 'Booster Requests' section, or just 'General TLX Discussion.'

As said above, due the TLX's inherent modularity it will of course be possible to build a warehouse structure in any shape that is desired.



The doors will be the same as in the original set: Double-wide entrance, office door, metal door for in & outside.

As for multiple truck docks, that's also just a matter of putting multiple dock-walls next to each other in a row

Big garage doors are included in Mayhem: Under Construction. I may take a look at including a version for the Mayhem: Industrial set. Good suggestion.



Again, this is no problem with TLX, although the offices will be of the "Industrial" type (meaning white or brown brick outer walls). Dedicated Office interiors will probably be included with another future release.



TLX Balconies will be included.

I just hope Cathedrea Noctis, its retrofit, Mayhem junkyard, Urban Grind, and Wildwoods Grove all stay up for sale for a while yet so I can try and scrape the money together for them, been putting it of when I did have the money, and now that my truck died and had to be taken to the junk yard, I wont have much extra cash for a while as i try and save up towards a new vehicle.

OH, which set triggers that happy event? I already have Red Sector, and was trying to decide between 105, Battleground and NightWatch.

If I already have Platform Command (I bought it from WWG -- it's in my list of products), shouldn't I be able to get Outpost 105 for free? It's listed as $6.00, and it still shows that price when it goes into the cart.

Or is there a different process to get it if I have the core product?

I thought I was going mad. Last week I was looking through the store and saw Villageworks, almost bought it, but decided on the castle instead, and today I couldn't find it anywhere. I was starting to think that I had dreamt it.

Trust me when I say it hurt to retire VillageWorks. It remained a very popular offering despite its age. The problem however was with its formatting, its dated texturing and its overall presentation. It just wasn't up to standards.

Better things on the horizon though!

I can see the point of it being dated...although I use the props all the time. Literally every session I have stuff from Pubs and Inns, Castles and Keeps and VillageWorks.

Even though I already have the Mayhem Junkyard set I was very happy to see the set is still up for sale. I love that set and am always going to it for things needed to complete other projects. It is just full of great stuff ... the fence and gate alone are worth the price of the set. On top of that you get a crane, car crusher, and truck ... I could go on and on. All great quality! Neat ground tiles too with mud and tire tracks and ruts. Whats not to love.

Really nice in post apocalyptic layouts too.

Enough.

Skull Cove will be missed - it was just plain a fun set, with the crane proving nearly irresistible.

Anyone know the status of Mayhem Downtown? Updated? Replaced? Other?

Tee hee! Well there you go. We've been so wrapped up in getting things squared away with the new storefront and TerraClips issues, that we sort of forgot about the Paizo catalog (though it was on the hitlist of things to do).

What we may do, if we can swing it time-wise, is give people a brief window to buy the retired products before they are permanently removed (at the new pricing). That would probably offer better closure for everyone (us included).

It's on the list.

The funny part is that out of all the sets I own, VillageWorks is still the most often used. I have kitbashed the heck out of the set. What it offers that nothing else in the lineup offers (Sorry TLX I do love you so) is a quick way to deploy villages. In many cases my houses are just that Props...Obsticals...etc. VillageWorks buildings fit that role nicely...I would love to see a Propsmaster (or swiftscenes) line with retextured versions of the VillageWorks buildings.

My VillageWorks buildings have sat on Green Felt for Warhammer Games...Gaming Mats for RPGs...Full Worldworks builds including TLX builds...The Maden (Wierd Bladerunner type game)...Used with a Castle Playset my son got one Christmas.

The Wagon from that set I have run through at least 5 rebuilds because of destruction from overuse.

They do not look nearly up to current standards of WWG...but they stand up well against almost anything else out there I have found.

That would be much appreciated! And if it helps, it will mean some more cash from those of us who had them on our lists but just hadn't "pulled the trigger" yet. Win-win.

Personally - for the present time - my preference runs more toward the classic construction over the TLX (though I do have some of that), so I am excited by the opportunity to 'catch-up' on these items I missed out on due to the 'lateness' of my discovering WWG.

Hence, when I saw the TLX MegaMall on the Product Chronometer, I made sure I snapped up the Mayhem MegaMall... and have been snagging other items from The Vault such as Harborrmaster...

Can't wait to catch up!.
