The geometry and textures come from Convoy, UD41, and the Vulcan supercharged engine.

Might have to wait ntil the ARES sets come out SD ...Im sure it wont be long tho:)

The FUSS structures are a ways off. I'm repackaging them into a set with most of the 2007-2008 props. That's gonna take some time to do.

The Vulcan needs to be consolidated into a single set rather than a bunch of a la carte Mr. Potato Stompie parts, and I need to prune down and standardize the colors.

The Onager is...well, in a bit of a holding pattern until I find something to pair it up with. (Hold the ideas, I'm nowhere close to that point yet.)

As for the kitbashes, I would prefer that submissions wait until all of the parts donor sets are actually up on the store, in keeping with WWG policy that kitbashes consist only of elements derived from existing sets.

So the kitbash answer is yes, so long as it follows established WWG guidelines. Cool.

I know you've always had a little twitch about them as they don't fit into the mental continuum that you've established, but they are some of my favorite models ever.

Man, those new prices on the models sure are swell. Then again, I enjoyed putting some food on the table when I could.

Besides, I've got the Prototype Black m722 and GPV (plus the flat bed GPV conversion I did).

These models are awesome. If you don't have them yet, what are you waiting for? I think you can buy all 4 of them for less than the original cost on the UD-41. Buy now!

There needs to be a better shot of the m722 interior. The driver and gunner section in the font is killer. There's no shot of the side door open, either.

It's cool to see the weapons included in the GPV download, too.

That Vulcan kit is going to be HUGE if you're putting all of the variations and extra supply drops into one package.

*edit: I just noticed Patrol includes the 6x6 too. That's an amazing deal! Convince Denny to start carrying the 80lb coverstock so we can get more deals like this.

Of course the doors slide and the gun can be stowed in the rear or working on top.

The smoke launcher on top of the cannon is removable, and the turret can rotate 360 degrees.

That "detailed interior" includes seats with shoulder restraints, steering controls, and frakkin' pedals on the floor!!!

I've built a helo drab m722, and I'm going to be printing out another color soon.

Oh...and the M722 fits inside the payload bay of the UD 41...just in case folks missed just how AWESOME these sets are

I saw those in the list to buy and will have to do it. Not sure how I can fit into a campaign but I am sure I can just so I can build both the drop ship and light assault vehicle.

Chris, if I read some other somewhat older posts elsewhere correectly, you had out at one time a floater (antigrav) utility vehicle. Will we get to see that return?

Nope, not much stuff from before late 2006 made the cut. There were a lot of workflow and software changes that year. I don't have the source files for most of the oldest stuff, the few source files I do have are from before 2006 are incompatible with my current software and workflow, and out of the remaining models for which I have usable source files for, there's a process of grading things for quality and staying power.

In many cases, it's not worth redoing older models to current standards because it requires the same amount of work (or more, in the case of the 2010 revamp of the UD-41) as doing a new model from scratch, and you have to balance that against the value of focusing on fresh new content.

The reason I mention that is because I'm not just putting up my old stuff as-is except in the case of the most recent releases. Everything from before late 2008 has to be redeveloped and reformatted with Craft ROBO support, and in order to justify diverting that effort from working on fresh new content, the old model has to be something pretty special.

So, only a handful of best sellers from each year are going to re-appear here, and everything from before that is either gone forever (in the case of lackluster sales) or scheduled for a complete do-over at a future date (the best sellers--the GPV in Patrol is the replacement for the M11 4x4 from 2003, for example).

The old floaters were not spectacular sellers by current standards, and their aesthetic is much too outdated and lame to resurrect today. I'd rather replace them with all-new models like the Brio and Interceptor, which reflect a more contemporary SF aesthetic.

Only suggestion I would have would be to put some standard sized mini's in the pics for a decent size perspective.

I'm one of the "scalistically challenged" people who can't seem to wrap my head around pictures for scale unless there's something in them that I can compare them to.

Define "standard sized".

One company's 28mm might easily be another company's 25mm or 32mm. Short of buying a 3D scanner and digitizing a bunch of miniatures from every company on the planet, then laboriously staging scale lineups, there's no way that question can be answered for everybody.

I find that simply putting 6x6" WWG tile textures in the images does a more effective job of showing how big the model is, so most of the Ebbles Labs promos use the ungridded 6x6 clean asphalt tile texture from Streets of Legend, and you can usually see the lines separating the virtual tiles. So, you know how big a 6x6 tile is relative to your chosen figures, you have some idea of how much of a 6x6 tile is covered by one of my old models, and you can extrapolate from there.

Another thing to keep in mind is that these are older models, they have already had their day in the sun, and their prices have been massively slashed from where they used to be. I've also never lived in a place large enough to allow me to keep any of my built models, so I don't have all the old builds conveniently on hand to re-shoot or recompose promos with.

No worries, its just something I struggle with. By standard size I mean anything roughly Warhammer (either) Reaper minis, DnD minis, something to just give an idea.

I for one am glad you're releasing whatever models make the cut. I didn't pick up all of them before there were gone from your site, so I'm glad they're back, at least the ones that are!

Picked up the Convoy, Patrol, M722 LEV and the UD-41 Dropship recently and have had time to build one of the trucks from Convoy. I like it. Course because I'm printing on 20 lb paper and then laminating it to 110 lb cardstock, everything fits really tightly together, very little margin for error! But that extra little bit of paper seems to make the model stronger!

Very happy with the models so far and looking forward to all that's coming in the future!

All I can say is ... Dangit! Would have really been nice if I had discovered you (and the WWG crew) far longer ago in this galaxy so near and dear.
That floater in the (picture I saw) looked perfect as the basic workhorse grav-jeep.
[sigh... "I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight..."]

That is so very TRUE! Mixing models from a variety of companies into one layout can be a nightmare. I'll re-size only those models worth the time and effort. Otherwise I just create the model I need to complete a layout. That is often the least frustration.

By the way, Mel, Iam very excited about the Podtel6 model ... soon to be released. It is a refreashing building design.

Just for the show of support I would love to see the Onager resurface some day, as well as (unless I have the name off) that old school BSG inspired shuttle (not the raptor one the other one). I am always on the look out for "medium" sized ships...
