I put TLX buildings together with their own floor tiles, which then sit on the overall board. I find it just makes it easier for me to plan and put everything together. I would think this would work as well for DeadFall TLX.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I'll most likely do with this set. With Mayhem I always use the streets but my western games are set up different.

Denny - any chance the boardwalks can be included on their own page so they can be used independent of the street tiles?

Its not quite that bad Denny. Its just the time/effort investment involved in TLX just isn't worth the finished product for me. If someone were to walk over and Give me a completed set, I would HAPPILY use it, without blinking, and use it over and over. Its why I love my TCPs.

On the other hand, my own home-made set is still sitting, unfinished, as doing all the cutting on the foamcore kills my back, and even if I were to finish it, it doesn't create a large enough play area to be of use to my party.

(On the flipside, I finished 9 of the original swift scenics in a shift or two at work.

I'm in the same boat. In theory I really really love TerrainLinx, but it's one hell of a project to do any set. Meanwhile I can do a store from scratch for the older formats in a day, much less build one of them.

TerrainLinx, perhaps, is just a little too much on the 'do it yourself' side, particularly for the floors and anchors.

I think that is why some of us love it more than others...I for one love the process of creating my terrain from scratch, even if it takes a lot of effort. It is my down time so I find solace in the journey. Of course I want tons to pick from when I play, but I enjoy creating the "building blocks" just the same.

Of course, if there was a Lego forge out there, I would probably like that as well.

Yeah. Definitely I use this set for my upcoming Warmachine terrain set. Please more TLX sets!!!
