I just noticed there's a new thing in the In The Works section on the homepage.

Works Booster. It's got a Fantasy icon, and is in initial stages, but no forum entry yet. I'm intrigued by it, mainly because the name reveals little about what it is.

Any ideas for users, or even hints from staff?

Would not surprise me if it was not a set put some thing to do with the way the guys do business hence "Works booster" the Fantasy Icon is becuase it is actually just a fantasy that it will actually give them more free time

Wonder if it's the new CaveWorks (top pick from Denny's poll of 2012 priorities) racing up the schedule. Whatever it is, it's probably another WWG fantasy set, which works (p.i.) for me.

'Works' could mean Caveworks.

Personally, I think the airship, while cool, needs some wider terrain in that theme first. I suppose the Deadfall stuff will be in the right era, although maybe not quite the right style...

It could just be shorthand for World Works...as in a yet to be named booster.

That seems likely, but also begs the question... WHAT FOR!?

I mean, we've had a HV Sewer's Booster, so maybe it'll be another HV set?

Sorry for the suspense here. I thought we'd be closer to synching things up but its not ready for the bright lights yet (fairly complicated issue).

I would think, though, Zenguy, that 'sooner' would be 'more soon' than 'soon, therefore the proper relative temporal order would be 'sooner', 'soon', then 'later'...

Except Denny cited 'sooner' relative to 'later' not 'soon', implying 'soon' is more soon than 'sooner', 'sooner' sooner than 'later' but not as soon as 'soon', and 'later' later than both.

I want to note, that I really appreciate any info we get for all the projects. honestly I am excited about all the teasers even if its not much...

Well, if the Poll carries any weight, the "Works" referenced will be CAVE "Works.

It really does not matter much to me. There are so many sets I am currently lusting after I always have to weight and measure all the wants when the money pops into my hands. Caves would be nice though.

Time for a better clue, Denny. Put up a confusing blurry picture like you have done before. I never get those right ... but some of the guys get hints from those. Grump is good at that for sure.

We're getting there. What I can tell you is that this has more to do with our interaction with our core fanbase and the way in which we launch projects. Sort of a bigger picture development.

Hoping that means a retooling and processing of all the backlogged kitbashes.

Not quite--that isn't what we're working on, but a side effect of what we're actually working on is that kitbashes will eventually be less clunky for us to deal with down the line.
