Well my old printer has died. So I'm in the market for a new printer.
Once again I'm amazed at the number of models out there that have dozens of bad reviews.

So to cut through some of the noise I figured I'd ask you all if you have any suggestions.

I'm looking for:
Something that will hold up to light use for years.
Does black and color printing.
Does wireless networking (idevice printing a plus)
Accurate for card stock printing
Good quality picture printing for 4x6 pictures

Don't care about:
Scanning, faxing etc


Any suggestions anyone?

My Epson Artisan 835 is wonderful. I have used it for a few months now and love it to death.

My Epson Workforce WP-4020 is great and meets all your criteria.

Avoid the Smasung CW 325w. While a great and accurate printer, it does not really like cardstock despite being rated for it.

I have the Brother HL 3040CN find it great.
They do have a wireless version, never tested though.

Epson Artisan Series -- any of them. I have the 710, Talae has the 835, and the forums over at DPReview and Nifty-Stuff will tell you that this line of printers is absolutely fabulous for home use, especially because they rock out some great photos. The best thing about the Artisan series is that Epson has made the print cartridges stationary, rather than sitting on top of the moving print head, so if you want to install a CIS, there's no additional stress added to your tubing, which is why I went with the Artisan series in the first place.

I just never got around to buying a CIS. Yesterday I ordered refillable ink carts (with Image Specialists ink, which as far as I can tell with some casual net searching is supposed to be damn near as close to Epson ink as you can get), so I"ll be happy to give you my impressions on that after they arrive.

I have the HP 8600 and I really like it. As stated above by sunraven01 the HP also has stationary color cartridges, so I'm assuming that installing a CIS would be pretty straightforward also.

One of the other pluses is that I can print from my Android phone onto the printer too.

I have an Epson Stylus NX330. Tho it is an all in one still nice and inexpensive which is an extra bonus. Has moderate ink carts and also high capacity. Print really bright and vibrant looking pages. Just my 2 cents for you.
