Indianapolis just got a Game Workshop Store.
So I decided to start a build using one of the old GW paper models. I started this project using a tri-fold foam board. Not necessary. It made it more complicated to build. I had to build working around the folds in the board.
The gallery photos will show a couple of the main steps in creating the build and the completed build.

Great stuff. Do you skin the walls an raised platforms before or after you cut themor put them in place? I am wondering as I am about to start work on similiar style build to yours and hope to learn from your "mistakes".

1) I don't know which is scarier: fighting Orcs or trying to understand their sense of architectural estheticism - which is somewhere between Escher/Cthulthonic and none at all!

2) I liked your trifold. I've started a series of my own covering several different types of terrain which would support TLX builds. My first was a seascape for a Maiden display using the Maiden masterboards tiles, but I put the tiles on the inside. Granted the sea tiles don't need TLX anchors. [Although I just thought of the potential of a "seabed" environment which would, along with TLX seabed walls which don't exist... yet.] I was wanting the TLX anchors on the other boards to be on the inside of the folding boards to protect them during cartage and storage. But seeing yours makes me want to reconsider the "inside/outside" issue.

Thanks for all the comments. This became more than I was expecting to build. There is very little planning, I just wing it. My builds just build themselves. After laying out the ground tiles to the tri-fold, I start with four wall heights mounted on mat board. When coming up with the design I begin with the island section and make that the highest point. I leave space between the water and large walls/cliffs to add medium and small walls/cliffs to connect across the swamp moat to the outer border walls /cliffs. I ran into a little trouble connecting to one side of the build so I used the WWG beams in the swamp to make my bridge across the swamp moat. With the cliff/walls completed, I decide which cliff sections will be grass or platforms.

TIP: I use a crayon that I have taken the paper wrapper off of and rub it on its side against a piece of paper that I’ve laid across the top of the structure walls. It helps me make a pretty good/ perfect fit. I then cut the paper patterns out and trace it on to foam board. I trim the section out and begin trimming it to fit exactly to the ground section or platform top. When I’m happy with the fit, I spray mount my paper image on to the top. Don’t forget to mark which sides up. Yes, I’ve learned the hard way myself by mounting it on the wrong side. Then glue the final top section to the top of the walls.

Well back to the border, cliff /walls. I built two larger cliff /walls in the middle tri-fold section to create the large main platform, which gives me the ability to create three more floor levels.

I’ve not worked with TLX builds, but I’m sure if you made them sturdy enough it should be possible for a tri-fold.

I really like your build! I love how outside the norm it is. I'm always thinking in squares and your build demonstrates how anything is possible and probably way cooler! Way awesome man. I likey. hehe
