I made a BIG arena (42x28 inches, ISTR) for a convention in Texas (MilleniumCon 8), here are a few images I found. Sadly, it was so big my action shots don't show you much of the struxture.

Oh yes, it was certainly big enough for a chariot race. I had access to a poster printer at the time, so the floor was a Skeleton Games map, but all the 3D was Arenaworks. Those were the days -- the secret high tech solution for bonding sections wasn't clips, or custom tabs, it was hairpins...
