Well, to get more practice building, as well as to have some more 'meaningful' shots for my upcoming mall kitbashes and boosters, I decided to tackle the 'big' store from the set - Manuel's. I figured this would be about a two-hour build, since I wasn't looking at edging or any advanced techniquies... I was wrong. It wound up being about a four and one-half hour build.

Lots of props, lots of niggling pieces. Also, the floor is 7x9 inches, while none of the walls are 7 inches. I found that out after I assembled the long walls. Also discovered that the odd-shaped counter really has limited options for placement, which, of course, I found out again AFTER I had placed other props.

Well, my error in estimates pushes me back a little bit for getting other things done, but I'll hammer through it. Enjoy Manuel's.. and, remember, if it's not Manuel's, your wife won't approve!

This is the interior of Manuel's, looking to the back. There are some innovative props in here (I'm eyeing the clothes rack for later shops). The issue with the odd-shapred 2" x 3-1/2" counter can be seen on the left. And, yes, that is some patchwork on the floor...

Final shot, looking to the front. I tried to arrange some of the props to allow for minis to work around inside, but you can see how packed this store is.

Will the back door lead to the manager's office and storage area or just a rear access hall?
Display window glass and dropdown cage door would have been nice, but, hey, this from a guy that puts acetate windows in his Mars Station crawler, Mayhem railcar and is building a flightdeck interior for his VT3 Pinz (yeah, with windows)!
But you *are* producing and sharing and for that I salute you, sir!
