Has the content of the main Seaworks set been decided upon yet? That might have an impact on any expansion requests that go in here.

One idea I just had is for shipwrecks - either at the bottom of the sea or run aground, a rotting timber hulk could be quite atmospheric.

Your products are gorgeous.

I just wanted to tell you that Pinnacle is releasing their "50 Fathoms" setting book for Savage Worlds next month, and there'll be a bunch of us savages hungry for sea-farin' cardstock.

When is your set coming?

The set is slated for sometime in or around September but could run into November.

In regards to suggestions please ask for whatever your heart desires. No request is "impossible". (I dont believe in that word)

Here are some:
-A sea monster with individual tentacles.
-ships to run around on (I have a feeling this will be the core of the set 'tho).
-a tiny island
-shark fins or big sharks sticking their heads out of the water.
-Rocks coming up out of the water.
-little boats or one of those makeshift rafts made of logs.
-natives and an angry volcano
-A port town (dock, buildings,etc.)
-Barrels
-palm trees
-tresure chests.

Its hard to tell which way you want to go with this, is it colonial england?  Pirates of the carribean?  Fantasy sea monsters?  The nautilus?  Vikings? Romans? Atlantis?

Anyway, there's my two cents.  BTW I love the stuff youve got now and will be getting it, just dont have any extra cash (till I get a job).  When I do, I'll be getting it.

A wide variety of ships is a must.  Trying to bring out the best of both Interiorworks and Villageworks (ships that look gorgeous both inside and out) is the challenge.  Ideally, it'll produce something that can be stacked, one deck at a time, up to produce the full ship.

You may have to sacrifice some degree of modularity on this one to get the parts to "fit" together.  Hopefully, after you've gotten a couple of ships under your belt, it'll start coming together more easily, though, and the learning curve become easier.


Another direction, possibly sufficiently different to be an expansion to Seaworks instead of the original set (I DON'T want to take the focus off of ships at first) would be undersea "CaveWorks" sorts of things...sunken caverns and/or ruins.  This part could be a 50/50 expansion of SeaWorks and CaveWorks at the same time, since underwater areas can be part of conventional dungeons too.

Buildings/Other Models:

- lighthouse
- seaside tavern
- fishing hut
- coral/rocks
- large waves
- sea dragon!

Well... lets see here, in my RPGs we tend to do a hella lot.. so bare with me. Sorry if im suggesting too much, its just we use the water alot.

Underwater Scenario- we use these in underwater battles that tend to involve things such as Merfolk and Sea Serpent Legends like Laviathen. It would happen to look like the ocean bed with alot of things that you see in the ocean id say...

- Coral Caves
1. Underwater Cave Walls and area
2. These use alot of small water falls and constant streams of water, theres almost no place where water doesnt touch.
3. some small cave rocks that stick outa the ground
4. maybe a few fountains that were left from merfolk ancients
5. a wide area of water where a boss battle could be maybe.

for coral cave missions thats a bit of what we see, its similar to the other caves you made before, just alot more water and watefalls.

-Beach-
1. white sand, black sand, normal sand (The sands have different colors then the exact white or black, so look it online youll see what i mean.
2. crashing waves, normal waves, nearly no waves.
3. Blue Ringed Octopus, and some other types of normal beach creatures

-Ocean Bed-
1. maybe a group of multiples of fish which are traveling as a group along with a mantaray too
2. Coral of many kinds, online has a variety to be examples of a ocean bed
3. maybe different levels of coral mountains since those are common
4. a possible See weed forest (look for Discovery channel for images)
5. Octopus, sharks, crabs, lobsters, fantasy creatures too, like Giant Octopus, Giant Squids, Sea snakes, and Different Sharks
6. Sand with a tad of blueish-ness to it since only shore and shallow is where sand is florishing with the yellow-orange ish color.

-Deep Sea-
1.Acorn Worms and Riftia Tube Worms for the deep sea scenario since they are common in the deep. Red coral too
2.A darker bottom area of sand since its dark deep water.
3. small little underwater mounts with hot water out of them since their are underwater volcanos that i dont know if they do or dont spew lava.
4.Vampire Squid, Lantern Fish, and several types of Jellyfish.

-Coastal-
1. A small town area, im not sure how it would look
2. a few variation of ships like other posts said b4.
3. a bunch of ocean XD

Thats my section of suggestions, i hope i helped. Im a Design Major and i just thought that those ideas would help the realistic things in it, since i also am studying Marine Science and Biology to see the realism of the board of table tops. I often use these in my BATTLETECH, Warhammer 40k, and D&D role playing experience. Thank you for reading all my stuffs! youll be surprised how much sea animals and small things like coral and different types of seaweed effect the coolness of a map. I wish you luck!

The Auld Grunp, this is the one that has me salivating.

hmmmmm looking at all this good content type i couldnt think of anyting that was not already mentioned though on thinking of  what i would like to do and keeping the pirete ( yes i know my spelling SUX ) theme it would be nice to have the MAST/RIGGING able to support figs for all that swasbuclking action up there also need the crows nest up there though thats a gimme of course hmmm now that i think of it how about some blockade material to block off those bays  and fortified type structures that ya can put cannons in to blast at those ships that get too close well that is my 2 coppers  worth on this

One thing I think would be cool to distinguish between ships would be sails, flags and figureheads.

Sails - different types, sizes, colours, etc.

Flags - different standards, shapes, icons, colours, etc.

Figureheads - attach to front of boat - simple representations of dragons, mermaids, dolphins, octupi, etc.

Other ships that folks might want (though I am quite happy with the Maiden!).
