I have attached part of a 'not yet to be named' personal project, that I am working on, and all credits will be given, when near completion.



Do you PS artists (PS3 Extended, in my case), out there, have any tips, for weathering and adding depth to the surface, so as to get it to 'Kitbash' standard, please?

I am looking for it to match HV type depth and texture quality.

Anything to help, much appreciated.

Easiest 'weathering' trick to play with, make a large brush with between 25 and 50 percent flow and opacity, and select a dark brown color.. then spray along the edges of your graphic.

You might also consider a bevelling effect to deliniate your texture sones rather than a drawn line.

Get some grunge brushes, there are a lot of them available on the net, and apply liberally.
Use the Outward Shadow / Inward Shadow layer effects, or even Glowing Outline with a color of your choice.
Beveling is also easy, but you have to be careful with it.
Add a new layer that lightens the areas along all edges, as those would be the first to be worn on a real model.

If you wont perfect results in the WWG style, get a 3d program and render your textures in there with bump and specular maps
