Really, really enjoying the abundance of Boardgames that really are hitting a sweet spot of my gaming desires lately.

Zombicide. Descent 2. Super Dungeon Explore. DnD Board Games. Gears of War

I would love to Mansions of Madness but the time needed to do so would mean this would get relatively little play. And that makes me sad. Because it looks thick with atmosphere and Story... a perfect match for the Cthulos...

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my copy of Mice and Mystics from the excellent Plaid Hat Games guys. Looks like a great blend of Story/Emergent Gameplay/ and tactical miniatures play that I've been wanting to explore. I plan on doing some live broadcast / live-play with some people via UStream/Skype.

I've also reopened the vault on some past projects put on hold due to family & loss the past year or so. Namely my favorite sandbox system ... Guncrawl. Feeling awfully inspired lately. I hope (at least a few of) these will reach the light of day for others to enjoy/despise... ;-)

I am still enamored by Incursion by Grindhouse Games. I really want to get this to the table. (It's akin to SpaceHulk set in the cavernous mazes of WW2 Nazi fortified Gibraltar).

And a bit more abstract & board gamey but same era and no less brilliant is the Hour of Glory game by Warm Acre. And there newly released Supplement Die Zombies! (Nope still not tired of them yet).

I have to admit, even with all it's (perceived/mentioned)imbalances the new Warhhamer 40k edition has my interest. At least in the spirit of Theme and play driven for the sake of story rather than competitiveness.. Even more so... those ba$t3rdz at Forge Worlds(I mean that in the nicest way) keep tempting me with all these B E A U T I F U L Heresy Era miniatures, gorgeous books... all extremely over priced(read out of this poor sots price range). But gawd do I love this part of the history.

Infinity is another I really want to get to the table.

A handful of RPG systems have been keeping me enthralled and tantalizing me with a desire to play/play again. Though not new, are very relevant...

Pathfinder, Savage Worlds (Necropolis/Deadlands), Spirit of the Century and a few others.

Eurogame style game pay games such as Pandemic and Flashpoint Fire Rescue have peeked my interest. But i've not had a chance to play these.


So has anyone else been enjoying the rather fine turnout of Boardgames/RPGs/Skirmish and in-between the last year or so?

Yes, I personally loved the D&D board games (Wrath of Ashardalon & Legend of Drizzt) and I've also enjoyed by Days of Wonder.

Recently picked up Twilight Struggle and I'm looking at Pandemic too. I hear lots of good things about Mansions of Madness. But having spent a fair bit on Arkham Horror, for fairly limited numbers of games I was looking elsewhere for a little while. Lots and lots of goodies out there. So little time.

I have personally found my way into board games in the past year or so. I LOVE them and have even on occasion ditched our usual RPG session to play board games. We own most of the games played on Table Top. If you haven't watched them - do so now.

Ones that get lots of play:

The one that we own and gets great reviews that we are intimidated to learn to play is Battlestar Galactica.

Board Games recently played - Kill Dr. Lucky (the original), Arkham Horror, Zombicide, and Conflict (a boardgame using the Pathfinder rules - been around for a few years).

Set up the board for the Ravenloft boardgame, but we never even cracked the book. I don't mean that we decided we didn't like it - we just never got around to actually playing. I was kind of curious about how it would play, but we got distracted by a movie titled Happy Ghost.

Dungeon looks tempting.

currently I'm working on Deadlands boardgame the "Battle for slaughter Gulth" inspired by the new Western sets I'm building an entire Western city. And taking pictures of all the steps to make this awesome game.

Had a heck of a time sorting through your photos... (link not working) so had to to take the long route. lol

But I like the case and card sorter you made for MoM. And I like all the 3d elements you are adding to your card structures.

I played through the intro scenario to Mage Knight with a friend and was favorably impressed.
