Hi guys, new to making cardstock scenery.

Purchased some of the wild west sets in order to create some scenery for an rpg I am running. I am looking to do it in 15mm.

I have an epson stylus sx215 and cannot find online what the maximum thickness of paper it takes.
I have 160 gsm paper but I think it may be too light (haven't tried it yet though)

I am considering purchasing 224gsm papaer online.

Also if anyone knows any guides for constructing the buildings in foamboard. There is a good guide on here but the link to the persons blog is inactive. I think I may go with foamboard to make the buildings sturdier.

If the printer can print business cards or greeting cards it probably can print on that 224 gsm card stock. 199 gsm card stock is widely used and will go through almost all of printers currently in use.

Thanks, I also have a separate question about construction. For my first build I am looking to do a house that will place on a wargaming mat.

If I use the terrainlinxs and base it on a foamcore tile, will the bottom of the building not appear very thick and make it look out of place?

Should I use something thinner for the floor instead?

I don't think it would look bad at all - the TLX tiles have textures on the side so they blend in better than just bare foamcore, but even the edges of black 3/16" foamcore doesn't look that bad on a battle map (in my opinion). If you try one and decide it's too thick, then your first floor could just be cardstock with TLX anchors attached, and use the TLX tiles for the upper floors...

This is usually what I do and it doesn't look out of place at all.

Unfortunately my printer seems to not be printing colour images correctly. I haven't tried printing any cardstock but even paper images are coming out wrong?

It says the ink levels are fine so im not sure what could be the problem?

@Domo230 - what does 'wrong' mean? Can you snap a picture of the output? Is it just that the color isn't coming out correctly? Have you let the printer do it's crazy little voodoo print head cleaning cycle?
