First, a quick note about Origins. We had been looking forward to seeing you there, but unfortunately we won't be there this year in a booth. Our brother Tim Peaslee will be running demos, so be sure to say hi to him when you're there. We can't do a proper booth this time around because we simply can't spare the labor right now.

Why can't we spare the labor?

Friday, June 7th, we received two 40ft containers full of Bones! For those of you keeping track at home, those containers were filled with over 470,000 models. We're still looking for the last container to be delivered next week, but we have enough to start shipping now.

What's next?

We've unloaded the containers (we have the bruises to prove it). We're getting those models organized into our system and firing up our fulfillment li ne this week.

We know we're behind our estimated ship date of March, so we've added a second shift for fulfillment so we can process the packages very nearly 'round the clock. We're doing everything we can to blast through these pledges so you can receive your Bones as quickly as we can manage it.

DOH! Ohhhh donuts!

Hey guys! The moment is almost upon us. Ben Boersma, aka, Boromir and Kermit on several forums, (Song of Fur and Buttons, Ghost Rangers etc.) has been working on the Rise of the Occulites setting and boardgame for a few years now.

I have been playtesting and editing for it during that time and I've gotta say, the game is a blast! Its easy to learn and kids of all ages will enjoy it.

It's been picked up by Eagle Games and the kickstarter campaign starts next week. I'll post a link when it goes live. Here's pics of a few of my tribes that I painted. Oh, and all of the sculpts are by Bob Olley. You can see more posts about the game and its components on Ben's blog

I really wish I would have grabbed the dragons at Kickstarter prices. I will be getting this one at the $40 price point.

I have two of him coming.

My roommate is looking to split a $245 Toughest Girls of the Galaxy with someone. I don't have any interest in the gels. but I am poking around on his behalf.

The Auld Grump, between the Bones in a few weeks and the Kings of War stuff in August... I am busy for a while....

I was hoping to get a few of those minis, but there weren't enough that I was interested in for me to pledge. If me picking a few off of him for a reasonable price makes sense, let me know.

I think it is just the hippo, Drusilla, Blondie, Svetlana, and the cyber-zombie. I have no idea how much that would cost me (possibly more than I want to spend, but it was worth posting about).

Red Box Games is ending soon. I like their sculpts, I just don't like metal and painting - so for those of you that do...

There is so much that tempts me on that one. I would love to get the Troll Brothers, Infernal Horrors, Wraith Knights!, Nether Beast!, Orc Modular Footmen and Goblin Footmen...and that doesn't even include individual minis. The downside is that I really should be pulling out of Kickstarters I am already in to save my money (that I don't really have anyway...).

If I had the cash, the above would be my choices.

Part of it may simply be that I do not mind a lack of polish - in the '70s and early '80s there was very little polish - even in major releases from the largest publishers, including TSR.

It was only later that RPGs and wargames were held to professional standards.

Part of what I liked about the 'd20 glut' was that amateurs got back into the field. That a lot of folks didn't have professional standards.

They were writing RPG material because they could.

Come to think of it... that pretty much sums up my preferences in music as well. I would rather see and hear people singing and having a good time singing than see a professional production.

So... folk music, folk-punk, Brit-punk, and steampunk. All folks doing music because it is what they want to be doing.

I have not received an email yet. Official word from ReaperBryan is that the last shipment is due to them Tuesday. That could mean that it is actually in Arizona right this minute. It could literally be in my city right now!!!

Yep. Given what ReaperBryan has said in the Reaper Forums, I'd expect everything should be on it's way to our grubby little hands by July 9th - just over 3 months past the estimated delivery date, but still a phenomenal result given the level of success this KS had. Definitely looking forward to seeing what they do with the next one (though my wallet doth weep at the thought).

I dodged a bullet on that one and took a nap for the final hour to prevent myself from pledging. Now to stay out of Raging Heroes and maybe even convinve myself to back out of some of the ones I am in:

Regarding Occulites: I am reminded of "Small Soldiers"...

Anyone else in on Alea Tools? I find them incredibly useful and am actually using a set that isn't mine (a group member that doesn't come around often is "Storing them" at my place since I use them - I don't even really know what that means).

Another miniatures KS that I have recently found (and jumped in for far more than I should have...): . Some solid fantasy sculpts on offer for a very reasonable price, no matter how you feel about the ruleset (though I haven't really tried it out myself yet).
