Oh, in case someone here didn't get the email, Kickstarter was hacked. The bad guys got some profile data and encrypted passwords. Relatively mild as these things go.

So you should go and change your KS password and be alert for phishing scams. And if you use the same password for multiple sites, change your password elsewhere too (and stop using the same one -- shame on you, you know better).

Dreadball Extreme has added a character from the (very) old computer game Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, from 1988....

Made me laugh - a lot of folks have commented that Dreadball is a lot more like Speedball 2 than Blood Bowl, including me.

It also surprised me when they added a discount code for buying Speedball 2 HD from Steam. I didn't know that Bitmap Brothers was still in business, let alone that they had updated Speedball!

Soda Pop Miniatures announced a new starter box for Super Dungeon Explore featuring expanded content and a full expansion and will be backwards compatible with the original content. They are self publishing. Guess CMON burned them one too many times. Launches in less than two weeks!

I've heard grumblings about CMON.
Since I backed Wrath of Kings, was that a bad thing? What other sites would have info on shinanigans?

Don't know of anyone going public about issues, but the Relic Knight Kickstarter community got so bad that Soda Pop had to take over because CMON wasn't updating. On top of that, all the delays seemed to be coming straight from CMON not communicating in a timely fashion with SPM or the manufacturer in China.

Zombicide was primarily timely. The promised expansion connect was about a year late. Some backers were complaining they didn't get theirs six months after that. Relic Knights is currently going on six months late but delivery is looking to be nearly a year late. Communication about this from CMON was so bad that Soda Pop took over so at least we were getting updates. I've heard rumblings that all of their others Kickstarter have been late with extra content coming even later, but I have not participated in any others. Planning to back the new SDE so we'll see if SPM does any better on their own.

Kane, I worked for Dark Age Games for a while. The spevifics I know are covered by the NDA, I think. I can say the owner of all of the above truly means well and doesn't mean any harm, but is easily distractible,

Another sequel from Impact. . My pledge for the previous one (Asian Myth) just shipped out today in the last batch.

I just came across this one and am a backer. I love these kinds of things.

I'm on the fence so far. The prices are (by far) the highest I've seen from anyone, but people swear by their quality. I actually ordered a sampling from the Warstore to see if they're as good as everyone says - but to get the best deal in the KS, its nearly $800 - before add ons.

I have heard that the minis are top-notch but expensive. Also, I have heard that places like FRP sell their products for cheaper than KS pricing (unless you go with the $800+) pricepoint...
