This is one of the longer periods of complete -> released. Hopefully that is a sign of good things, but it is still kind of a bummer.

Yeah I'd say the new Galactica is a bigger ship. Though unless they, the show's producers, let us know, it's only conjecture really.

Good news for me though, everytime I do a space game, ok, most times I do a space game, it's always a home brew as far as the environment is concerned. No worries about having a player say, "Hey, that elevator is supposed to be on that side of the bridge, it says so on page 48 of the blueprints!"

Course that player would probably end up in the middle of the next plasma conduit explosion , but hey, don't argue with the GM, right?

I did run a Star Trek game one time. Enjoyed that alot, but I really prefer my own universes/worlds!

That's how i'd do it too, just make stock sections of like Crew Quarters, Detention center, hallways, etc etc etc, and just put them together for things like a Corellian Corvet (the CR70), or a Star Destroyer. yeah you could never do the Whole ship on those the simple paper and ink let alone where would you store the darn thing (some guy make a Cr70 for the action figures and it took a flat bed truck to haul it around on) a Star Destroyer, even in the mini and skirmish would be HUGE!

The Skirmish and RPG are the same scale, the skirmish uses WAYYY scaled down rules from d20 to do everything, but is much more basic D&D d20 than the SWd20RPG.
But the scale is basicly the same or almost in the RPG as the Skirmish, you get 10 meters of movement which means 5 sqaures in the RPG, in the skirmish you get 6, which oddly is the same for a medium creature in D&D, 30 ft, at 5ft a square is 6 squares, they made it in line with the D&D RPG, and D&D skirmish game one of the reasons i converted to feet for all of construction.

they just never mention it flat out in the SKirmish like they do in the RPG, of how big those squares, are, and oddly for sizes of creatures and ships in the skirmish they are also using a 5ft scale instead of 1inch=2m it is 1inch=5ft.
