More work on my prison. I had been trying to decide how the PCs would get from the block house to the prison proper. I had originally planned on having a set of stairs down, then though it through some more and suddenly, I had a plan.

I'm in the process of taking the crane from Skull Cove and parts of the Trebuchet from Siegeworks to make a basket. I have considered that the prison was built over/in an old mine. So the block house leads to a stairway, which in turn leads to a cavern with the crane & basket assembly hanging over a large crevice. The guards/prisoners get loaded into the basket and lowered to the prison complex below.

Kind of hard to escape from a prison, that's underground, especially when you have to climb up a sheer wall!

So I even get to use parts from Caveworks on this as well!

I will be taking pictures and posting them once I get the build done. Also, I'm planning on taking pictures while the players are experiencing the adventure as well.

Since our last game featured yet another inn/pub setting, I've finally decided to print up some stuff.

Stairs up & down
Chairs & tables

I'll make some up, and decide if I want the lighter grid or the darker. I'm leaning towards the lighter, though, since we use the webcam often. The contrast will help with visibility, methinks.

I also printed up a bunch more MiniChunk, since I need to fill all that space I've got!

4 big walls
4 small walls
3 curved walls (full size)
3 curved walls (shrunken. I'm going to do a smaller well for better space management. Each is on a 2" x 2" section)
Log bridge (you never know!)
2 doors (1")
1 gate doors
1 page of torches (they're so cute! I'm probably gonna use post-it glue on the back)
1 stairs up (lower and upper).

The stairs up I had to alter to fit the 1" MiniChunk size. I'll post pics when they're done.

And is there any reason for having six of the "stairs down" for the Pubs & Inns set on a single page? I can see two in an inn. Maaaaybe three or four, if you're building a few levels to have out simultaneously. But six? *shrugs*

-6" Wall to test sizing issues

-beds & washstands
-modified liquor cabinets (still need to print the modded transparencies, tho)
-6" x 6" floor tile (Photoshopped so I can do almost any size)

Four 2 tile X 2 tile sections of sewer, seeing if I like the format.

So far so good.

The Auld Grump

Eberron is the closest that WotC has come to getting me interested in one of their worlds. If I didn't already have my own homebrew setting and Iron Kingdoms I might well be interested in it.

A real attempt was made this time to match the cultures to the amount of magic available, for all intents and purposes magic is technology. It reminded me of White's corollary to Clarke's Law - any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from science.

Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk both left me cold, Eberron has potential. (In 2nd ed AD&D I liked Birthright...)

No preasures in photos (I have not made one yet...well made yes...posted not) but it seems like everybody make things and nobody make photos of it to share and give ideas to the rest...

Auldgrump i know what you mean. We where infected with the rpg virus years ago with the game "het oog des meesters" wich was a dutch version of the game "das zwarsche auge" (sorry for my bad german).
We played that years with great enthausiasm and i have a lot of the german books but non of us was good enough in german to fully understand and use the game.

after college we got together again with new players and together descided to try this american d&d thing and see if it was any better for us.

we love d&d but never really got into a campaign world and lacked the time to make a good solid world ourselfs.

We have been playing return to the remple of elemental eveil for ages now and are getting near the end. we all have our bellies full of dungeoncrawl and can't wait to begin this eberron.

The magic is indeed far better integrated in society and it seems there are plenty of places we can flesh out ourselfs...

back on topic now:

Does anybody have any ideas on how to make some of the eberron ships?
Does the maiden allow herself to be kitbashed?

I am plannig on making terrain for the entire new preprint adventure series of eberron. (what am i getting myself into )
