Official Updates June 15, 2005

Hey everyone! Sorry for the silence, thought I would give you a brief update.

DriveThru RPG

We will soon be offering our entire catalog via www.drivethrurpg.com (full catalog up in the next few days). This isn’t a move away from www.rpgnow.com but simply another option for users who already shop at either store. Some of my time has been devoted to getting this side of the business in order. Big thanks to Mike at Drivethru for helping me get the catalog online.

WhiteWolf/Arthaus

The majority of the past few weeks have been devoted to WWG’s project with WhiteWolf/Arthaus. Things were progressing very well up until the tail end of the project when physical prototyping hit a bit of a snag. I received some samples from our manufacturer and…well, let’s just say “it” worked in conceptual design but didn’t cut it in the real world. The project isn’t dead but it definitely shifted gears on us. I lost a good chunk of work due to this little glitch and was forced to start at square one. Because of this situation I will likely shift my focus to working on both Himmelveil and the newly revised WhiteWolf project. This whole development period has the unfortunate side effect of hurting the pocketbook a little and I need to get a new model set out the door. Good news for Himmelveil fans

Mars Station

We’ve been approached by the good people at Aberrant games to create a new model set for their sci-fi epic “Rezolution”. The new model set is based upon our favorite backyard stellar neighbor Mars and will be completely compatible with all of your generic sci-fi gaming needs (not strictly a Rezolution set). Expect some highly useful elements in this set to perfectly compliment our previous releases Paul Senior is on the job and we have some fantastic ideas brewing on this one. Mars Station will be available direct from WorldWorks.

UrbanMayhem: Mayhem Armory

Matt Lyon is nearly finished with his first release for WorldWorks “Urban Mayhem: Mayhem Armory”. Matt is on the painful home stretch launching into instruction work. We’ll be working hard to get this out to you guys shortly. Matt has done an amazing job and we can’t wait to share this release with you guys.

Himmelveil

Peter Gifford is hard at work on the first official Himmelveil release (as yet untitled). Peter has been a bit swamped with other responsibilities but I can tell you that from what I’ve seen thus far, this set will not disappoint Peter is doing his best to chip away at the set and if all goes well it won’t be too much longer before we release a few teasers.

Adventures

There is a quiet flurry of activity going on in the adventure module area at WorldWorks. We’ve completely rethought our direction and with the help of Kevin Jordan we’ve devised an incredibly rich and diverse fantasy world to play around with. Modules will focus on various parts of this world and will have a heavy tie-in with future model sets. Himmelveil takes the spotlight Kevin, Andorax (Bob), Rod & Amanda, Matt and Jeff are all hard at work. More details regarding this area of development will play out as we retool the website to make room for these exciting expansions to the WorldWorks product line.

That’s about it. I hope that I’ve cleared up any anxiety out there regarding where things stand at the moment. Everyone is doing their best to get projects out the door and while it might be taking some time, the enthusiasm everyone has for their unique projects will make the wait worth it!

I was wondering about DriveThru, now that you are working with White Wolf. I am glad that you are not moving away from RPGNow.

Other than that, I'm glad to hear that everything else is progressing. Can't wait to see what you'll be cooking up for us yourself!

Sorry to hear about the WW troubles. Not that I mind seeing Himmelveil coming out sooner, but I wish it didn't have to be at the expense of your big new project.

Anyway... thanks for keeping us informed! Looking forward to seeing what you guys are cooking up!

Glad to ear news (sorry for the set back in WW...but I supose is the normal trial/error)...waiting for all the sets to give suport to your cause - Damm Mars station...Now that I've nearly finished my own

Sorry to hear about your troubles with the ww project.
Though it is nice to know we may be seeing Himmelveil sooner.

It could be a building set kind of like what comes in Mordheim, plastic corner pieces for heavy cardboard walls and floors. If so it would be great to get enough buildings to cover a ping pong table for less money than the Gouge Workshop stuff. So Denny is it for a fantasy game or for the Worlds of Darkness?

I've been comparing prices between rpgnow and drivetruhg (to see if the competence give us any benefice)...and the only diference I see is Siege world (in drivethtug is 2$ cheaper...10$, not 12$) is not one of the ones I want to buy...but If anybody want it to let you know the "offer" and if it's a mistake and the buyers will "steal" 2$ to Denny that you know and speak with them...

P.S. I would have buy it but this month my VISA is praying for a shot in the head...no even 10$ and only half the month (hope you don't trown nothing new till next...)
