I drop into the Tin Soldier now and again, usually to satisfy my need for a new boardgame. The 'Drew? Is that the owner? If so, nice bloke, I've chatted to him occasionally.

Actually I like the ideas - roadkill etc. If not recognisably possum or cane toad-like, it would be amusing to introduce some local dead wildlife!

As for games, on my blog site at www.headlesshollow.com you can see a list of some of the games I've created reference sheets for and posted on the site for others to use. The other night I played 'Doom: The Boardgame' which is great fun. Other current favs are 'Memoir 44', 'Ticket to Ride' and 'for a light game, 'Heroscape'. Days of Wonder and Fantasy Flight are both releasing great games. We've also dragged out 'Horus Heresy', 'Blood Bowl' and 'Necromunda' in the last few months; I have quite a collection of old Games Workshop games. In general like well-designed, strongly-themed, relatively light games with a high fun factor and a low book-keeping factor though.

As for checking out Himmelveil pre-release, now let's face it, would Denny be impressed? Noooo ...! Be patient, my pretties ... mwhw ahahah hhaa ....

The Auld Grump

Guys, what can I say, the job is always on my mind. If I was doing this as a full time paid job you'd be seeing the result within a normal project timeline. As it is, I try to devote as much time to it as I can within the restraints of an already very busy life and all my other commitments.

What I can promise you is that in a couple of weeks I will be working from home instead of in an expensive studio and I will have more time, and more financial flexibility, to devote some *serious* time to this project. And I intend to really pull out the stops and finish this first Himmelveil product then.

Hang in there just a little bit longer.

PS This is just my perspective, I'm not sure of Denny's plans.

You know, each time I see this thread title i read it as "Himmelveil Realty".

Ahh... wish it were so!
