Hmm. No question here, but I can't help but think the designer remark was either a clever ploy, or a mistake. There have only been two designers so far (that I know of) - Denny and Paul.

Based off a previous Andorax post, if that mention was a mistake, that means the set its based off of is either Arena Works or Skull Cove.

If its a clever ploy (which I'm more inclined to believe) then its, well, almost anything else.


Oh - and no questions here. Just observations.

It's not a lot of news...but it is news. The model pieces are starting to come into my mailbox, and they're looking great (thanks to our currently unnamed model designer, who's doing a fine job with what I've asked of him).

Please stay patient...it's way over deadline, but it is coming together very nicely.

Misty
Chaotic Neutral Female Halfling Sorcerer 3

Born in a small village of the western Tharcian Plains amongst her Halfling kin, raised to farming and herding, Misty never sought to be different. Indeed, she expected nothing more out of life when her mother sat her down and explained that the women of the family had something of a secret…they could do magic. Not the boring, studious magic that the larger folk practiced…but a sort of magic that came from within.

With the discovery of her inborn powers came a restlessness that Misty had never known. The farm suddenly seemed dull, lifeless. Moving farm tools about through thin air, playing tricks on the neighbor’s kids and putting the old cow in the field to sleep just couldn’t contain the restlessness welling up inside her.

So without a purpose, without a goal, but knowing only that she had magic and a will to use it, Misty set out into the larger world, resolved to make something of herself…if only she could settle on what.

Coris Swiftfoot
Chaotic Good Male Elf Ranger 3

From an early age, Coris realized that the borders of Crenn would never hold him. A skilled forester and accomplished scout, he has long had a wandering heart and mind within his thin Elven frame. Ever the next horizon holds something that has to be more interesting than whatever is here right now. Some have described Coris Swiftfoot’s restlessness as a curse, but he feels no ill from it and simply enjoys where his journeys carry him, which to date has been to nearly every nation north of the Mysserian Sea.

Even his favored enemies, the Orcs, are not as much a hated and reviled foe as a subject of morbid fascination. Coris has led his share of ambushes against them, and not shed a single tear over their deaths…but on his own, in the Slaarg Wastes, he’s been as inclined to let an Orc patrol go by untouched as to seek their deaths. And it hasn’t always just been for his own safety.

Order of the Warding Light

In the mountainous region of the Grey Owl Duchy, on the northern frontier of Falcony, lies the Sheltered Wind Monastery. Within its walls once dwelled a small order of priests of the Tethian Church known as the Order of the Warding Light. For centuries now, nearly since the time of the Fell Winter, the Order of the Warding Light has dwelled there, living in humble means and acting out the will of the gods of Law.

Through the various inquisitions and excesses of more extreme elements of the Tethian Church, the Order of the Warding Light has focused on quiet contemplation of the way of Teithi, the performance of good works for the aid and care of those in need, and a general dedication to being a simple force of good in the world. Rumors that they once held some sort of dread secret have always been roundly denied by both the priests of the Warding Light themselves, and by the greater Church within the Grey Owl Duchy.

Over a decade ago, the Order of the Warding Light came to an end, with the passing of its last Abbot, Shull Gotthand. A somewhat protracted and bitter legal dispute over the title of the land and the Sheltered Wind Monastery itself followed, with Archbishop Merian of the Tethian Church contesting Duke Sofal Altorian's claim to the land. Duke Sofal eventually prevailed, but relations between him and the Archbishop were never quite the same, an attitude that hasn't improved since his son, Regan Altorian, succeeded him as Duke six years later.
