I'll consider offering mine up but I'm not sure the world at large is ready for the sheer horror of it. Meantime, I'll have to see about updating my avatar photo (not that I don't appreciate what's been done already, hehehe...)

ok, my wife will kill me if she see this, but here is a quick pic of my messy work place....

As much as I would love to contribute, my workspace is generally all over, depending on what location fits the activity. Gotta love cramped college apartments . I've made things fairly portable, from WW building to painting, through various setups. Generally, I spread things out on my huge L-shaped couch, and do a majority of the work on two lap trays I have acquired. One is plastic, with wooden legs to lift it up to just under my eye sight, (good for working with minis and World Works), and another is a flat metal tray made of silver I found at an old Flea Market. I usually end up doing most of my pre-painting model work on the metal, since it keeps my legs and workspace safe from hobby knives and dremel dust.

Mychal, what's that light you have? It seems like it would really help while painting. Did it come with the bulb, or have you replaced the original with something else? Since I'm getting a new round of minis, I'd love to get something similar. Anyone have suggestions? I started using "Reveal" light bulbs around my studio, as they tend to bring out colors better than most regular light bulbs. Really adds a nice touch to the already amazing textures on WW sets.

And Denny, maybe I was just seeing things in the CWU promo shot, but in your old avatar, (from the promo, unless I'm mistaken), it looked as if you had your right eyebrow pierced. Did you take it out, or was I just viewing the light wrong? (My first got rejected, so I just got it re-pierced behind the scar from the first. Doing this generally lowers the chance of a surface piercing being rejected. And in case anyone is wondering, no, I'm not a pin coushin. I only have an eyebrow ring and a lip stud. Crazy college kids. ).

Reveal bulbs are great! There's a lamp like Mychal's that's sold at Staples for about $25 - but it takes fluorescent, I think.

And Denny did used to have his eyebrow pierced. As for me, well, maybe I'll just wait until I have my Mango avatar to share my piercings.

The light is called an Ott-Light, My wife got it for me as a gift, so I don't know where she picked it up at. I got it for painting my minis, and it does help.

If you look closly at Denny's schedule board you can see a release date for himmelveil... just kidding....

Alright, you asked for it!

This was in the middle of MiniChunk dev, so you've all seen this stuff in it's finalized form, so I don't think I'm breaking any rules.

I had leaned back from the middle of the curved wall build, and actually looked at the mess I had created. This table is our living room table, too, and our weekly gaming table, so I have to completely clear it off every weekend. But who wants to see a perfectly clean table?

My printer is in the other room, and I've added a lamp and a small tripod for pictures since this was taken. I really like having the laptop in front of me while I work, because I can switch off freely without having to move to a different room.

A disscussion about peircings? Count me in! I haven't got that many, at the moment just my 14mm stretched lobes and lip ring.

I previously had more lobe peircings, including a second stetched hole in one ear, but had to get rid of 'em as I upgraded in size.

As for tattoos, I am much more interested in them, I have a small black star on my inner left forearm and recently got a large peice done under my left elbow that stretches to the wrist of a heart choked by a noose, very vibrant new school style. I have designs for the upper part of my left sleeve kicking around waiting until I can afford it. I would love to see what you pln to get done Denny.

My workspace right now is the same space I have for everything, a small wooden desk under the window sill in my bedroom. I recently acquired a large drawing tablet and have to shift it now when I want to work on minis or terrain or other projects. I sometimes take over the kitchen table if I need a bit more elbow room but sometimes it can be a bit more trouble to get to the table with three 20 year olds in the one house!

I see that you have no place to rest your arm when you use your graphics tablet?? Don't you get sore in the shoulder/neck muscles?

I have trouble with a sore right wrist so to relieve my right hand which I use for drawing and other precision work I usually use the mouse with my left hand when I surf the web.

On topic: will have pics of my workspace up by this weekend, with some new setup shots, been really busy unburying the space as it was temporary storage while I was reworking another.

Behold, the throbbing heart of Universal Head, from which a model set has yet to emerge! Remarkably messy for me at the moment. I would have had a much more impressive pic a month ago when I had a big expensive studio, but I work from home now (thankyou! says my bank balance).
