Okay, a spoiler free zone it is.

The big question - only what of the three major plotlines - or, what I consider the big three unresolved plotlines, Mal + Inara, Shepherd Book's past & What the Hell is up with River? - gets any real resolution. I'm not telling which one, although if you've seen the previews, you can guess (and you'd probably be right).

I'm hoping it will be a hit. It is quite good, even putting aside the fanboy part of me, but I'm not sure if it will make enough sense to pepole who haven't seen the show. A lot of little things that make the movie go from good to great will be missed if you are unfamiliar with the characters (without giving anything away, the first interaction with Mal and Inara, for example).

However, even if it was a major blockbuster, I (sadly) don't think you'll be seeing the show again. Universal has an option on 2 more Serenity pictures they can exercise if they choose, and Fox has rights to the show for something like a decade (reportedly). That is one of the reasons that they are actively rebranding everything with Serenity, rather than Firefly. The word is also that Joss Whedon (creative genius behind Firefly) is done with TV for now, and wants to do more on the big screen again.



One interesting note - the RPG does a good job of explaining Firefly physics, including such questions as "Why did the ship stop in Out of Gas?", a question that has bugged me since the first time I saw that episode, and "Why didn't the proximity detector pick up Jubal's ship in Objects in Space?".

Those were the three major ones I was looking for...And I know we see a LOT of River in action...from the previews...so that must be the one.
The Sheperd is definately an inigma...maybe the plot for the next movie?

I'm pressuming the hull is going to be a streamlined build?....or is it a 20' high wedge?
Love the Fuel scoops, and removable module...that will be sweet
Turret sits on top?..access from the junction behind the bridge?...or am I reading it wrong?

I am thinking 10" wedge for now, for ease, but it gains another 10' if module installed. So 20' for a complete streamline would be good, thanks or at least 20' at stern. And yes, top turret with access by ladder/hatch in corridor. Though I will probably do a remote turret design with access for maintenance only. Gamewise it is pretty advanced with several prototype mods. So far I have kept it about the size I want, sorta.

I am starting construction on the known pieces now, mods later.

Neat! I like the wedge design; it's a nice departure from the other layouts I've seen so far.

Outlaw...thinking about using the Retrofit Turret ?...It would look pretty cool.
Does the forward hatch on Cargo A need to be 2" ?...you could probably get away with a single door there.

I am 99% complete with my Cargobay (Configurable Scout Mission Module MkI). Total Ebbles build, though I used both Derelict II and Module: Core pieces (gotta like the Roe/Ebbles modularity for construction, so many pieces fit together in, oh, so many ways ). Wife figured out a way to take a picture even, with her Treo ,though not very presentable due to background elements. So I may try to load a picture.

Since it is the main element of the construction which everything else fits around, I had to build it first. Good training. Features 3 doors of different sizes and configuration (one being a door/ramp with extension), one movable wall and a few ship specific design functions (power and ventilation connections). Final details and a bit of cargo and a figure or two for scale and I can work on a real picture of the assembly to post. Then on to the rest of the ship.
