At first glance the quality is amazing (I have not reviewed not building anything because a) waiting for the patch b) not having time or need right now of it...

In the discussion of modularity I can say nothing now especific to the set...the only thing is that as in the original SoM I said that you get only one kind of floor (in the street)..you could build hundreds of meters of streets but all have the same paper there...is not a bad or good thing is only a bit odd...the details are good but sometimes is better less especific details that made dificult to build various... -I don't know if I have myself clear...would have to buy a good dictionary

I too am waiting on the patch before attempting the buildings... that and my PC at work died. Luckily, I copied the file to my thumbdrive so I can print it... just haven't yet.

I have printed out one of the pickup trucks and a sheet of the ladders... but haven't had time to assemble them as yet.

The buildings do have potential to allow expansion. I agree with others views that it's not as modular as some of the other sets on this site, but I think it'll serve for the time being. If each Mayhem set that is released has a few specialized buildings, a vehicle in different colors (we need a van... like the A-Team van... whatever that was called), and some generic pieces, then I think before long we will have an amazing combined set. Obviously, everything would have to be compatible.
